The law was meant for aftermarket replacement parts but extends by the wording to aftermarket performance parts. In the end, it really depends on what the dealer wants to actually push for and how they want to word the claim.
Do you notice heat soak often or run the vehicle hard (funny to say about a full size SUV). The intercooler are small, but usually do the work needed on a daily driver SUV. Especially if you’re not getting a tune might not be worth it.
The aftermarket part has to be proven to have caused the problem though before they can deny the warranty claim. An intercooler isn’t going to cause any problems so therefore shouldn’t void warranty.
Usually there is a waiting period so whatever warranty company doesn’t get stuck with existing problems, but that wouldn’t apply to Ford because you can only buy an ESP in the 3/36k warranty and obviously they’re the ones that were previously warranting it. I read somewhere Ford sends a...
Performance chips are absolute snake oil IMO. A custom tune from people like ZFG or similar tuners are going to be 100% better, and actually be a great use of your money.
Usually LED bulbs in a halogen housing cause the light to scatter really bad, which will blind oncoming drivers and give you reduced visibility. A good halogen bulb will give you better headlight power and improved visibility of the road ahead.
That’s all false as far as warranty. It’s been said time and time again, from FordPerformance when contacted, that it replaced any and all warranties with its own 3/36k mile warranty that begins at time of purchase. After that it’s considered an aftermarket part and has the possibility to void...
No I it wouldn't work as the fine writing in the tuning could mess up the Expy's tuning.
1)I always have to repeat this to Bronco and Explorer ST owners. The warranty is only retained for the 3 year/36k warranty that starts at original new purchase of the vehicle. After that, it's considered an...
Didn’t know that. I know 5 Star tuning had similar problems. I’m more from the Explorer ST side of things and even LMS isn’t good. Should’ve known better.
Adam at ZFG does awesome work, didn’t know he did the 3.5s so definitely recommend him too.
You couldn’t have done anything to the car, worse thing that could’ve happened would be more tire wear. The car would’ve alerted you if the transfer case was overheating. You’re perfectly fine.
AC system guaranteed has some mildew buildup. Turn off the AC 1-2 miles away from where you’ll park it at night, it will prevent the AC condenser from building up water, getting that musty smell. Also check your cabin air filter, that could’ve gone bad also.
Livernois has tuned these SUVs already. SCT is a canned tune and therefore will not net any worthwhile gains. I would go with Livernois. Also, the tuning cant be same as Powerboost because one is hybrid other is not.
Yes. Have had three sets, one being the new K03s. They are amazing. Old KOs were really noisy and not very good overall. There is no better than the new K02s. Quite, great in all weather, and look great.
I know efans are kind of worth it but won’t have any gains but mpg could improve. CAI is not worth it though. Look up Gotts mod it is all that is worthwhile.
