    LOW profile rooftop rack

Went full 'squirrel' on this thread as I'm in no market for a roof rack, but am interested about the silicon lube trick. Our driveway approach is off camber and the glass creaks and pops every time we pull in the driveway and as we hit bumps as it's getting colder. Can you elaborate?

Can we talk HD Tow one more time?

Yeah, it's heavier than it looks. Boat w/fuel is ~5,200, trailer 1,500, then two sets of scuba gear/tanks, tubes, inflatables gets you right to 7,100. I was surprised when we scaled it full; overall length 25'6"

    3 Across Booster Seat Recommendations

I stand corrected, thanks for pointing that out... now I need to change my installation:) Did you notice how they note that one installing for belted booster, it's still a good idea to use the latch system as well so they don't become projectiles?

    3 Across Booster Seat Recommendations

+1 for the Diono RXT. We have two in the outboard positions and a Nuna rear facing dock in the center right now. Could go 3 across RXT no problem. Our twins are 9, weigh 55-57 pounds and have no issues in the RXT 5 point. Once they get a little more height, we'll convert the RXT to a belted...

Can we talk HD Tow one more time?

If you're asking me, they're the CSS-1168 units. I'll take a picture this weekend with the boat hooked up now that I have them installed.

Best way to roof rack, haul, or tow 16ft canoe on 2020 Expedition w sunroof?

Truth. Crazy how much difference it makes in bounce transmitted from the trailer to the TV. I have the 7.5" drop unit purchased originally for my pickup and have even used it to double up, reciever hitch bike rack in the top position and a long tongue trailer in a lower position.

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

Debadged the 'Limited', 'Max', and dealer sticker off the back, added the BD Trims black 'Expedition' overlay, and a license plate frame to clean up the rear a bit. Also installed the Sumosprings in the rear. Happy with the small change in appearance!

Max Tire Size w/No Level Kit

Thanks for sharing, was looking at these exact same tires and size for mine. Do you have any more pics at a 3/4 angle or down the side to show how much more they fill the 'tuck' of the stock wheels? Do they get close to rubbing the fender liner anywhere? I have mudflaps on mine so I know I'm...

Can we talk HD Tow one more time?

This thread got me thinking. Quick check for my Limited Max showed two different springs, one for HD tow and one without. The HD tow did say (without CCD) but maybe I'm not seeing all the listings. I have the HD trailer tow with CCD, and I ordered Sumo Springs for the rear since I knew once in...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

Purchased this used 2019 Limited 302A with 30,000 miles last week, traded in our 2016 Explorer Sport. We are loving the space so far and the fuel mileage has been looking like it will be better than the Explorer, especially around town! I added Weathertech mudflaps and 3rd row floor liner (1st...

    Newbie checking in.

I've been reading about the 4th gen Expedition on these forums for a few months now, tons of good information! We have a 2016 Explorer Sport currently, but with the addition of our 3rd child and the amount of trips to the lake/mountains, we were limited to taking my pickup only as the Explorer...

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

@Calidad do you know where the 'mid/late' 19's build dates would be cut off? I signed papers on a used 2019 with 30k miles last week and am picking it up this week. Hopefully mine has all the updates!
