2019 Major Issues within 10 months

I bought my 2019 new and now have 80,000 miles on it. The only repairs I've had are a blown speaker within the first few weeks, and a leaking rear A/C in the rear this year. It did recently get the rattle on start up, but my understanding is that may be annoying, but not fatal. If that's true...

    Nav map update

You can update the maps without updating Sync. You can either buy a preloaded flash drive from Ford or download it on to your own drive. It's picky about which drive you use and takes a long time. I've gotten two free updates. syncmyride.com

    Rear wiper issues.

Does it only happen after you've opened the rear window? If so it might just be re-engaging since opening the window disconnects the wiper from the motor.

    Hancock tires

I have 22's and thought the original Hankooks we're passable when new. At 35k they're a bit more than half gone so I worried about them in the snow. I just put on Conti Terrain Contact and they are great, much better in the snow.

    Tires (22")

I got by just fine with the OEM Hankooks when they were pretty new. Now with 33k on them they still have plenty of tread but think they wouldn't be great in snow. So I just put on Conti TerrainContact H/T. I think they'll be much better.

    Is it just me?

Huh? Wouldn't leaving them out expose them to more ice build up?

Is there a way to mute the parking sensor when backing a trailer?

It doesn't work on my small kayak trailer or my 25' Airstream!

That doesn't work on mine. I always have to select "no active trailer".

Things I'd like to see on the 2022 Exp's (coming from a 2020 KR)

They ought to make a lot more functions user defined. I'd like to choose "perimeter only" as the default alarm, have auto dim headlights work below 30mph, and have an audible warning, in addition to the light , for the blind spot warning when the directional is on (like my Dodge did).

    Trying the Anderson WD Hitch

Why I don't buy Andersen products.

Weird electrical behavior from passenger seat and shirt at trailer hitch that fried trailer breakaway switch lead.

If the breakaway switch engaged, it would supply voltage to the trailer brakes from the trailer battery. It shouldn't in valve the tow vehicle. Can't comment on the Anderson plug, I won't use their products.

    Towing mirror questions 2020-2021

Mine is 8'6" wide, 26' long. Front of trailer is maybe 3' to the hatch. I find the set procedures a bit confusing. It took a couple tries to get it right.

    Towing mirror questions 2020-2021

You have to activate it in the trailer set up menu (I think that's where it is). You input the trailer length.
