Sounds like some of you are just shooting in the dark and others just swapping out parts that are not the problem. You need to disconnect the positive battery lead and insert an amp meter and post the results. Anything less doesn't tell anything.
OEM replacements. My comments also apply to non sound screen glass. Aftermarket is not manufactured to the same specs. There could be problems with clouding and other defects in the lamination, etc. Guys in the auto body industry know this...
My '04 Expy 190,000 on factory glass, my '16 35,000 on factory glass. The key is to leave plenty of space from the vehicle in front. And when you do have to replace always specify OEM replacements.
Your opinion I suppose. Read up on the history of the PVC system, how it was originally dumped on the road, racing engines send it to the collector, a closed PVC system is for the lazy motorists who can't clean a can and burn all the crap in their engines...
First any engine with a PCV system will benefit with a catch can. Second yes the JLT can be difficult to unscrew if tightened too tightly. I empty mine every 1000-1500 miles and only tighten the can until the O ring just seals...comes off easy and no vacuum leaks.

I had to buy the remote start "kit" which was only 2 new keys in a box for $200 and change when I bought the truck new from the dealer. Dealer programmed keys and PCM if needed. I now have 4 keys, 2 standard, 2 with the center remote start/stop button.
Just remember the manufactures are in the business of selling new vehicles, their maintenance schedules in the manuals are designed to get the vehicle past its warranty period. If the vehicles were to last a long time, no one would buy new ones. Think about that. I'm one who swears by 3K...
On the issue of the extended dip stick and tube...the shorter version for the Mustang is $100, the longer version for the F150 & Expo is $200. Yes it is a lot to spend, I wish Ford had an OEM option. However as others have pointed out it will certainly make checking and filling much easier. And...
