Ahhh....there is a big difference between water/coolant and trans oil....can you first tell us what is is? If you can't tell the difference by feel and smell, then sorry I'm done here.
I have said it a thousand times... ANY engine with a PCV system will benefit from a catch can filter. And to the folks who wonder about the second valve cover, usually that is the clean air intake side, another can would have zero benefit there.
In the cold winter months I check and drain mine every 5-600 miles. Mostly condensation like chocolate milk. In the warmer months it is all oil and I check and drain every 1500miles.
Tow loops are better. You use a shackle to the strap and it won't fall off. When off roading, you keep the straps preconnected to the loops...better than diving under the mud to hook them up.
Nope I get 10+ on vehicle batteries. When I do change out a battery I do so because of age usually 6-7 years then it goes in a piece of equipment for many more years until they are shot, first to go is a dead cell. A good charger will ramp up or down as needed. The one I use has auto temp, 3...
On my '16 I installed permanently in the engine compartment a sealed marine battery charger 6amp and ran the AC plug out by the tow hook. Just unplug the extension cord and go. Even if it got driven every day it gets plugged in.
We don't drive any of our vehicles until they are at operating temp. My '04 and '16 have OEM dealer installed remote start. I don't do anything aftermarket if I can help it.
Start by changing the two cam phaser solenoids. They have tiny screens and passages that are effected by infrequent oil changes or wrong oil viscosity. Takes only minutes to change with the proper Torx screw driver (a socket won't fit) they took most of the noise away and ran better.
Classic fuel dilution in a turbo engine. It's normal with the higher intake pressures, more boost, more oil dilution with fuel. That is why I change my oil at 3,000 miles and have a catch can. It would be just as bad with a blower. Instead of blowing money on oil analysis change it more often.
Not for use in catalytic converter engines and Expeditions depending on year is either 5-20 or 5-30. Again, you say you own a 2000 Expedition yet this particular forum is on the modern EB ...why not stick to what you know? If someone were to ask about oils in a 2000 that would be right up your...
