Looks like a westin to me as well though not sure of the model. Generally, the small bars in the side are removable. It's possible the wings are as well. However, it's been many years since I've seen a headlight replaced from the outside.
if it is a westin, I had a black version on my...
Not the first time I've read that. Look at the bright side....at least they are consistent with September. If you search on this forum, you'll find another post about this. People noted there other sources.
Don't be afraid to air down to 10-13 lbs. You really only need about 5 lbs to keep the bead solid. The lower the air, the easier it will be. Front and rear - not just one or the other. A 20 is too high for loose sand. I used to run at about 15.
I once came across a camaro in the deep sand...
I currently have a 2011 XLT Premium EL White Platinum Tri Coat Metallic (neat paint!) with HD towing, rear headrest DVD systems, NAV. Bought it March '13 with only 15K miles at an awesome price! It was originally delivered in October of '11 which probably explains the low milage.
I had a 1999...
I think he wants to know if he should buy it.
Does it have more life - good question. Depends on how it was maintained.
On Kelly Blue Book (with 5.4L, 4X4, etc), the EB goes for $3500 to $4380 private party and $5430 in excellent condition (which this isn't) at a dealer.
On NADA with...
I say "Valhalla" - from Old Norse Valhǫll "hall of the slain" ruled by Odin. Why? Because every time you fill it up, you're going to wish you were slain and in a great place because it's going to suck your wallet dry!
I've had K&N filters on three vehicles now. Each one seemed to get worse gas milage because of it and I'm not sure the HP increased as advertised. My '99 Expedition with the 5.4 sounded nice with it, but I would have gone back to stock if I could have.
There has to be some way for the head unit to control the rear DVD systems. In the manual I have, it states that if the headrest DVD units are installed at the factory (they never are), then they will appear as options up front. I don't think you'll ever be able to "see" the video as the same...
I'd say whomever ran in to you just bought themselves a new expedition. Since the accident will be on the carfax if you every trade it in or try to sell it to someone later, you'll have a depreciated value. Get a good attorney.
You know, there is a towing and hauling section in the forum. Weight is one question, length is another. Do you have the EL or not? Is it 4x4 as they are heavier and can tow less. How long is the trailer? Longer wheelbase is better for towing. If you have the 7 pin and 4 pin trailer light...
Whoa - wait a min
Wow, you guys are missing something that's a LOT more important than how much power and what weight ratings vehicles have. It's wheelbase. Going by the 3rd gen specs:
Std Expedition: 119" - can tow a 22' trailer safely
EL Expedition: 131" - can tow a 25' trailer safely...
I answered the survey for the '99 EB 4x4 I had until March since that's the one I've had the most experience with. When I sold it, the milage was around 170K. It was reliable overall - no major transmission or engine issues. However, the following were issues we dealt with related to the...
The '99 EB 4X4 I had until March of this year had about 170K on it. Great truck. Nothing "major" ever went wrong with it. I found the key to happiness was replacing all the plug coils though - got tired of "issues" related to coils going bad. Upgraded to an '11 EL.
Hey 2LMAKER - did you try it? Here's a link to a popular mechanics article explaining the same thing:

Does Anyone know if there is a way to get the head unit to communicate with the Invision system? Manuals say if they were "factory installed" the head unit will recognize and be able to control the rear DVD systems. Problem is, I don't think any were ever installed at the factory. Mine...
I wanted a 7.3 myself. Unfortunately, too many I saw were lifted or they wanted way more than book. Settled on an '11 EL that I love. It's a little shorter in length and I believe ground clearance. But the ride is great and it tows my travel trailer well.
To value your current truck - go to...
First thing I would do is replace the fuel filter. Maybe dump as much fuel as you can (drive around?) then replace it. Fill with new fuel and if problem persists, you may have a fuel pump problem. With over 200K miles, it seems like what you described could be the pump.
If I'm not mistaken, third party warranties can be used just about anywhere. Call the company you have it with and ask them. Or, find a place with a great reputation and ask if they take your warranty.
