they are usually all made by eagle eyes, which is not that great. I used the ones i have now because i wanted to retrofit it for dual bi-xenons on each side. I do not recommend the use of the projectors they have with HIDS. they are very poorly made.
For my lights i sent them out. I've...
No, they will not work ok, the Projectors in those are utter garbage. The Hids will not last long in it at all. Do not bother with these housings unless you are ready to retrofit them. Mine are retrofitted with dual projectors. Real Bi-xenon projectors. They are decent housings, but not if you...
back to confirm, but the upcoming morimotos will fit the expedition housing. If you can get them to sell you a set of passenger side fogs. For some oadd reason the expedition was designed to using f150 fogs, but... they came with a special assembly that used only the passenger side f150 fogs. If...
The Morimotos can more then likely be retrofitted on, great price for them too. I'm currently using projector retrofitted hids inside the factory housings for my fogs. So no need for me to upgrade to leds hah. that and i'm changing my bumper soon.
they will NOT fit. i actually have a set of those morimotos on my subaru.
i still have to see if i can fit the f150 fogs into my expedition. Those seem to be a closer size match
i have ebc yellow stuff pads, running on brakemotive drilled/slotted rotors.
i previously had stock pads, and those glazed up real quick, i now have 15k on the pads, and 20k on the rotors. no issues with my "cheap" drilled/slotted rotors. the ebc yellow stuff pads made all the difference in the...
i have just the rancho quicklifts, they dont seem that bad, although it is somewhat bouncy. I also did some LT-C tires while i was at it, so i can't really tell the cause hah.
most people go LT rated tires for other reasons, like durability. There is nothing wrong with the P rated tires, but i do find the expedition to be a bit squishy around corners etc. It did a lot better when i ran lower profile tires on 22" wheels.
I'm considering stock size but higher rated...
i thought stock size for the 18s was 275/76r18?
I am considering LT-E rated tires too. Just having a hard time deciding if thats what i want. I was running 305/40r22 cooper zeon ltz on 22" before. But moving back down to 18s now. I emailed cooper and they tell me that C or E rated AT3 on 18's...
I ordered a ironbull bumper, with carnage bars. Wondering how much lift i need up front to keep my car level.
I ordered a set of rancho quicklift loaded to level out the car. planning on adding a spacer of sorts on top of the front quick lifts to keep it leveled.
they have spacers in .5"...
Heres my story!
i've been running 22" Harley F150 rims (polished with a burgandy color) for about 2 years. In the first year, my oem set of 22" tires that comes with the f150 stock had bubbled side walls in 2 tires.
In the next year or so, i ran cooper zeon ltz tires. I have a dented rim...
3rd gen lights have stop/turn integrated, So yes we need resistors.
not sure if you realize, you are posting in the 3rd gen forums. We have no flasher unit.
there is no flasher unit in the 3rd gen expys. The function is integrated into the BCM module and there is no way to change it. You need resistors to prevent hyperflash.
and yes you need resistors even if its just the tail light/brake light.
I changed my brake lights to led, and it hyperflashed...
So my bumper to bumper is expiring soon. I wanted to pick at the minds of other owners into what i should get checked up on. I want to bring this into the dealer to get things done before it ends. I know i get some weird wheel hopping when i do a full lock turn. Anything else that might be a...
its been a while since i done mine, but the covers(lens) usually can be pried out with a plastic pry tool
I've been using osram ledriving leds for 2.5 years with no issues.
