I'd take the diesel. I like my 5.4L, but the towing power of the diesel with a big SUV would be great especially since the Excursion is not made anymore.
Depends on who's driving...I average about 16 city and 19-20 HWY...the wife gets 13 city. She idles EVERYWHERE and starts it up 30 minutes before she's ready to leave in the morning....and she didn't want a diesel.
I messed around with my Expy last week when we had some good snow-covered roads. It's my first vehicle with any sort of traction control and I wanted to see how it worked. I was quite surprised at how well it brought the vehicle back from an out of control maneuver. I only had it in 2WD at...
Even if you have to do a bit of work to get them to function, can't go wrong for $50. I've been hunting around for a pair of rear heated seats for my EB Expy and nothing is under $100. I'd say jump on it and make it work because you won't find that set any cheaper.
I saw that too....got to thinking about it.
He lives in MS and the post was from June, it might be a little warm that time of year down there and the A/C could've been running...but then again, the windows are open.
The jury is still out...
I called the nearest Ford dealer, less than 5mi from my house, to see if they could get the code for me since the dealer that I bought the Expy from is a little over an hour away. I neglected to get the code when going through the paperwork at the date of purchase...kinda pissed me off too...
That's about right for the asking price. The blackberry's NAV works quite well for the better half and plugging in into the input allows her hear the directions through the stereo. I'm interested in the power fold mirrors as they make pulling into the garage quite a bit easier for her. There...
Sweet, I was hunting for an Limited or EB EL, but couldn't find one in my price range. I settled on an '07 EB loaded minus NAV. If you don't mind, what did you give for it?
I keyed in my VIN and that site said no recalls. I'm waiting for my sales guy to call me back...it's amazing how quick they call back when they have a chance to sell a vehicle, but seem to let it slide a couple of days when the vehicle is already sold.
Running whatever octane is recommended is best for the vehicle. The engine/computer is tuned to a certain octane and if you run a higher octane, you're not benefiting yourself. I don't really think it'll hurt anything aside from your pocketbook, but you can't take advantage of the higher...
I received a call from the dealership that I bought the '07 EB Expy from this last week asking me to bring the truck back in for a recall of some sort or another. They did not say on the message what the recall was, but asked if I could bring it in to have it done.
Anyone have a recent...
What's the dig on FoMoCo semi-syn oil? I ran it exclusively in my '04 F150 and it was still honey gold after 3K miles every time. I ran 6K between changes and it still looked VERY good even at 6K with 60K on the clock. Is Mobil that much better to offset the cost difference?
My F150 was the same way...the filter simply would NOT move for the first filter change. I've read that the filters are impacted on for some reason or another. I crushed mine as well and did the old monster screwdriver through it to get it to move. Whatever the case may be, I did not install...
Well, wouldn't you know it???
I gave the truck a good wash and rub down with a dryer sheet getting all of the bugs and worthless tire gel off the sides of the vehicle. I asked specifically for them NOT to put that crap on the tires, but they did it anyway...
While rubbing down with a chamois...
I'm liking the weathertech extreme liners...looks like $85 from autoanything seems to be the best price. I've never ordered anything from them, how are they?
money talks....in his shoes, what if you didn't come back? There's a guy in front of him right now with 5500 in his hand and he hasn't heard from you. Tough call, but I would have called you to let you know someone is here to buy it, just to give you a heads up...
It just wasn't meant to...
