Get a dash camera! Next time you can just plow into the guy in front of you and they get arrested for false statements to the police and insurance fraud.
He had a lot of work so I told him he didn't have to put the step fix on priority. Here are the pics of the hybrid mount and where the steps bolt on. To be honest I asked for a flat plate welded to the tube and the plate welded to the frame. More surface area for our 6k lb suv.
Since I don't...
Thanks! They also don't flex under my fatness. I have a hybrid setup. Welded posts to the frame and the sliders are slip over & bolt on so if/when they are damaged it's an easy replacement.
Ao tge shop name is Six Gun Off Road. I got them done for $1200. Right now I don't have the lower steps attached because he did a negative ladder look (inset lower step) which makes them useless for anyone with a size 10 or smaller shoe & those people are the specific reasons I got the lower...
Cool but those will get me pulled over with a ticket (not a fix it) in commiefornia. One of the stupidest states "Come have fun here!" reads laws.... I can't have fun here
I'm using the stock ones for my 16. They're fine. Slightly inset due to the thickness of the metal bumper vs plastic but it doesn't affect the sensors.
Some heavy duty epoxy or glue is your friend.
My dashcam & iron bull bumper are #1 & #2. Already had someone pitt themselves on the highway & had video evidence. Next are the led interior lights.
Led interior is essential.
My setup on 35x12.50r18 +0 likes 47psi. Get sidewalk chalk or tire crayon, do a nice thick coat, drive straight (don't turn wheels at all) and check out the wear after a few dozen feet or 100ft. Gone in center? Lower your psi. Gone on the edges? Raise your psi. One side before the other...
Have you tried a forum search? My memory tells me that the axle shafts are a wee bit too long & prevents the center caps from being installed on the raptor wheels.
@Black has done much research on shock replacements & upper control arms.
Until I reach 120k or 5 more years I wanna keep that...
@Expy_Tac it was mostly a path with a bunch of rocky rubble, nothing big but the medium sized loose rocks made for notable drifting or plowing while making my way around. No need to air down (I was at 47psi) but it might have helped. My current air tank isn't good enough to air me back up to...
The stock sizes are
275/55r20 for the limited (still not enough sidewall in my opinion) 275/65r18 are stock on the xlt trims.
You MIGHT be able to go 275/70r18 for a 33" tire without modification. Standard wheel offset is +44.
This will give you 7.6 inches of sidewall vs the 6" the 20s give...
Long story that goes into personal details I had permission. This may or may not turn into a membership only spot reserved for one family/group at a time & I was asked to do some research.
Here's a look at the seam after the cut & before the weld.
The guys say If you're doing this yourself hammer in the metal with a mallet on the inside to close the gaps a bit before welding.
I finally found a shop willing to trim the inner fender. It cost me a couple hundred dollars but now I can run chains. I ran 0 offset wheels because I wanted to make sure I wasn't hitting any suspension components other critical components like brake lines. Here's a pic of what they did.
Inner...
You would also need to make sure that the mounting bolts are strong enough & you can mount a seat belt. Hate to see your passenger on the news for flying out the windshield seat and all.
