Took my 2012 El Limited 4wd ESC rear air suspension to get a 4 wheel alignment. It drove straight as an arrow, no pull, no drag. When it was on the rack getting aligned BOTH passenger side wheels were toed in out of spec.
Set all 4 wheels to perfect spec (literally right on Ford OEM spec) and...
Problem is the diesel spec isn't necessarily as 'good' for gasoline engines. The shear tolerance differences, sulfur tolerance, additive recipes, zinc and molybdenum sulfide content may not be optimal for gasoline engines. I will argue that all those specific recipe components are suited for...
I have had a couple salvage vehicles, as long as you know the work involved, know the people doing the work and ensure everything is done properly it should be fine. That doesn't look all that bad to be honest, especially if they can find a donor vic.
I had a 2002 Subaru Forester that was...
Took the Expy for the 4 wheel alignment............
6 hours later I have to bring it back tomorrow to finish. Front and rear on Pass lenger side was cambered in and toed in.
Apparently aligning the rear requires extensive work dissassembling most of the rear suspension. Got it all aligned...

It appears I made a mistake. I confused the general gasoline engine spec with the new diesel spec. I apologize if it was misleading. The new Gasoline oil spec has been pushed off...
I mounted LED bulbs in the wife's Exploder, forced to use ballast resistors. There was no metal to mount to, so I used some heat tape (actually ducting tape which is aluminum foil with adhesive on the back) and had no issue. The LED bulbs crapped out after a year so I went back to incandescent...
T6 is the 5w40, but its on the 'thinner' end of the 40 spectrum, closer to the 30 weight spec. I use just the T6 with a Motorcraft filter. Keep in mind that Rotella (a Shell company) has recently changed their "recipe" for the new specification that has been established. It supercedes the...
Keeps the light low where you need it most to reduce glare, has an excellent spread of light as well.

The problem with those hitch mount lights is the bumper cover would have to be trimmed...
Its too bad you are so far away, shipping would make it uneconomical to purchase these.
Regardless they are GREAT tires! Had them on wife's Exploder and loved them.
I forgot to mention I screwed up when I ordered the lights for the wife's Exploder; I got 6 led versus the 4 led version lights. The 6 led was too wide for her mudflaps, so I took the 4led off the Expedition and put the on her car and fit the 6led on the Expy. Pics follow;
Expedition:

Those are the exact ones I have. They are kind of thick and heavy, but very stout. I hqve almost 10k miles on them with no issues at all. I did drill out the mounting holes and tap them for a larger bolt and washer on the wife's Exploder, but my Expedition has the standard stainless hardware it...
A friend of mine had a front mount Yakima air deflector on his Subaru Forester that mounted to the front cross bar, helped reduce the drag from the rack up there. He attached it to the rear cross bar for the exact same reason. Don't see why it wouldn't work for your application.
Hit 100k!!! Oh boy!!
Finally got to my 5k mile interval on my Rotella T6 oil experiment. Going to pull a sample, pack it up to ship to Blackstone and change the oil. So far the oil has darkened quite a bit, which is to be expected but I haven't lost any.
I did the first oil change after...

Finally got to my 5k mile interval on my Rotella T6 oil experiment. Going to pull a sample, pack it up to ship to Blackstone and change the oil. So far the oil has darkened quite a bit, which is to be expected (it was almost diesel black after the first 550 mile change)...
I have gotten alot of compliments on them locally, especially at Home Depot and Lowes. People want to know where I bought them and are flabbergasted that I made them myself. Even had guys ask permission to look at the wiring and crawled under the back of the truck and couldn't believe how simple...
