    If it is anything like the '16, all that is needed is for the dealer to order the remote key fobs with the start button, then program the ECM. Very easy and nothing beats OEM.

    No idea what comes out of any of my vehicles...who cares. Make sure you check the dipstick in between changes and keep in the proper range. 3,000 mile oil changes on all especially the Ecoboost with turbos. Turbos want clean oil for longevity.

    Welp,you don't know how it was taken care of the first 30K of its life. A tubo engine you just can't drive hard and shut it off, need to idle for a few to cool it and slow it down before shunting off the engine. Also clean oil is a must. Forget long drain intervals.

    For the cost of an OEM you would be better going with the one I listed, a pure sinewave and 300w. I mount it under the passenger seat, wired direct to the battery.

    Different years hold either 6 or 7 quarts so check the manual. I use the oil recommended in the owner's manual, also printed on the oil fill cap. My '04 has 180K & the '06 230K on 5-20 Castrol GTX, changed every 3K with a Motorcraft filter. The '16 due to the turbos gets Motorcraft Semi Synth...

    How much of the internal original console space do you lose if any?

    You don't have warped rotors.

    The 500 mile break in or the 5-6 stops etc.....that is so the pads conform to the rotors so at that point on you will have efficient braking. When I change the brakes on our fleet vehicles I always tell the drivers to be extra cautious the first few hundred miles until the new pads seat in.

    Perhaps you can modify the console vault by plasma cutting or drilling access for the USB port and for the cable to exit. That would be my choice. I didn't want to loose the console space for storage, my vault is under the rear of the driver's seat on a security cable.

    I know the '16 is fly by wire and that system sucks (lag) as does any electronic throttle..nothing like good old linkage.

    Walmart, Motorcraft Semi Synth 5-30 and Motorcraft oil filter FL-500. It came from the factory that way.... I change it every 3,000...I don't care what the oil life % is. I paid too much for the truck and don't want to change out a bad turbo....

    Capless Gas Tank logic

    Go and buy a Ford OEM locking gas cap for it. I did the first week I had the '16 truck. A good investment for it. As for additives, I run Marvel Mystery Oil 4oz per 10 gallons of 93 octane.

    I figured they all made there, the fleybay ones were around $13 so hopefully these are a better build. LOL The pin orientation is noted - thanks again. If you have any other advise on how to change the handle please post it.

    XLT and satin chrome. Yes I hope the quality is good. The ones I found on fleabay were from China and folks said they fall apart.
