    Expedition Problems

    I am absolutely NOT a mechanic, but the grit in the tank makes me wonder about the quality of the gas you've been using. Not sure if that long-term could be ruining your pumps.

    Wonder if JL Audio would sell you the grille they include with their Stealthbox? I would guess they would be available in case the included one was ever damaged. It should already be colormatched to Expedition interiors too.

    If you're going to use the third row at all, make sure you sit in it in both vehicles. When I bought my 2007 EL, I tried a Suburban and couldn't even put my size 11 shoes straight in the floor space of the Suburban. I had to turn them sideways to fit! The Expedition's third row ain't bad at all.

    I've had the same problem with my '07 EL since day one. Dealer could never seem to hear any problem... of course. I've been meaning to do the mod in this thread and see if it helps, but I haven't gotten around to it. Let me know if you do...

    Running boards

    If you take them off, how 'bout Rhino Liner or some generic truck bed liner paint? Give it nice grip and should hold up nicely.

    I don't know if this is a dumb idea, but you might try searching for the year Expedition you are looking for pics from on Carmax. They tend to have tons of pictures of each vehicle, like 30+ last time I looked. Don't know if the pictures would cover what you need, but can't hurt to try.

    I have had (and continue to have) the same problem with both of my front windows on my 2007 EL. They have fixed them at the dealer in the past, but the rattle always comes back eventually.
