    Trouble Code P1450

That is an evap emmissions code - wont release vac here is fords description P1450 - Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum Monitors the fuel vapor vacuum and pressure in the fuel tank. The system failure occurs when the EVAP running loss monitor detects excessive fuel tank vacuum with the...

    heater core

I would replace the blend door while you are in there, as they tend to creak over time at the bottom where the motor connects.

    P0452 Evap DTC

i would ck very closely the wires around the tank and pump as this problem started after they were moved for the fuel pump replacement. I would ck the wires from the ftp sensor to the pcm for continuity [ohms] first if still nothing found ck for voltage drop using a load.

How do I program an extra FOB and the door keypad?

to prog the fobs turn the key off and on quickly 8 itmes ending with key on, the locks should cycle then push a button on each fob[ locks should cycle] when you have done all the fobs shut off the key. the keypad code from the factory is sometimes on the GEM module on top of the fusebox under...

    Coolant flush

I usually just use clean water. drain the coolant, refill, drain a coulple more times. then I just put the hose into the cap hole, open the drain and start the engine keep water running in faster than it comes out till it looks nice and clean. then drain and refill with 50/50 mix.

    Octane Boosters

Unless you have a performance engine that needs the higher octane to stop preignition higher octoane fuel and octane boosters are just a waste of money. actually for the best performance all around the lower the octane the better lower octane fuel actually is more efficient[given you have no...

'98 Expedition won't start, no power, lights nothing.

use an amp meter between the battery post and the cable. makesure everything is off then attach it [use it in a min 10A mode or you will blow a fuse]. then wait 1/2 to 3/4[ to let all the modules go to sleep] hour and by this time if there is not a drain the reading should be .05A or less, if it...

New (used) 2004 Expedition that has aftermarket keyfob and want to use factory.

Unless you cant live without the remote start I would find a way to bypass the alarm setup as it will only cause yuou problems. usually the main thing is to by pass the starter bypass which is usually 2 large wires going to the ignition harness- splice the wire back together on the ign harness...

    P0452 Evap DTC

It is an electrical problem 99% sure. ck the connections and wires. this codes only sets with the key on engine off not while it is running so the vapor management vavle and canister vent solenoids are not the problem. voltage as low as it takes to set the code would be a huge vacuum.

    P0452 Evap DTC

that code is for an electrical problem not an evap leak. the fuel tank pressure sensor[ftp] is part of the fuel pump assembly. make sure it has been connected properly. if it has trace the wires and look for a break. the colors are grey/red and brown/white. it looks like they all come together...

its alive after a ywar an a half lol

sounds like spark probably coils, but it could be low fuel pressure or something also.

What are these connectors under the washer reservoir for?

I would guess that the previous owner replaced the air susp with regular suspension. look at the back axle if it is held up with big coil springs not airbag/airsprings then it has been converted.

    Clicking/ticking sound until warmed up

It seems wrong but exhaust leaks between the head and exh manifold often stop when heated up.

2000 5.4 xlt -- stalls or shuts off when turning left

check the wires in the rear of the left front wheel well. there is a large bundle of wires that run along the frame that can get hit and damaged. oversize tires can make this more common.

Tune Up or Not to Tune Up???

change the plugs cold should not be a problem just make sure they are tight especially #4. I would replace the coil boots at the same time or the coils themselves if you find them cheap[keepthe old for spares].

    Lifter sticking maybe? I dunno.

If you are getting ready to change the oil pour a qt of trans fluid in and let it run for 10 -15 min then drain it. tranny fluid has a lot of detergent in it and it will help clean out the motor and can somtimes free up sticky "lifters". then change the oil 5w30 will be good semisynthetic and...

X2 on the exhaust leak at the head. look for broken studs.

Need some suggestions to increase fuel economy

there are 2 ways to increase fuel econ- reduce load and increase efficiency. load is aerodynamics and rolling resistance mainly- narrow street tires and smooth airflow[lowering, air dams...] will lower the load also somthing like a electric fan may help, but it is then something else to pay...

EGR, vacuum line(s), COP, or ??

yours is old enough mode 6 data will not have misfires on it. A ford dealer will have a IDS scanner that can isolate the miss though, but it will caost you at least an hours diag time.

What are these connectors under the washer reservoir for?

the extra connector looks like it is for a air compressor for air suspension and the hoses probably connected to it. If you dont have air susp then maybe somebody deleted it in the past.
