If it were me I would start with a no-grit wax. If that doesn’t help then go to a polish that is a bit gritty like a compound polish. That should remove the paint (if any). I’m talking a blue car with a white paint scratch, for example. You want to remove the paint the scratch made but not...
No, don’t add refrigerant until you get the leak located and fixed. They also make a can of stuff that will bubble up on the leak area so you can find and repair it. Prob a O-ring needs to be replaced but that’s no problem.
I would only use air pressure like Moose suggested. That way you don’t use up your refrigerant or dye. Once U put the air pressure on the low line side port then you will hear it hissing as long as u keep pressure on the low side and that will give you control of how much and how long to put...
Wow nobody replied to ur question....if u have a timing light u can check to see if maybe it might be the plug wire. You may have checked it already but u didn’t mention it in ur question. Hopefully you have the problem fixed by now.....
I feel ur pain on the a/c leak. Why can’t things be more simple like they used to be? I’m sure u checked the areas under the hood too. If it slipped ur mind, I would check for dye around the under hood compressor and lines going from there to the rear......if you can access them, that’s the...
Normally if you have a leak it is because one of the in-line O-Ring’s has hardened and srank allowing the Freon to leak out into the air. New O-Rings are not super hard to put in depending on vehicle and a/c blueprint. Most all the system is made up of aluminum which doesn’t rust. Good luck.
Reinforce with popsicle sticks if you think that would work for you. See the pop cycle sticks can work by being the 2x4s and the cardboard like the Sheetrock in building type code. I hear you on the mags. I got the Expy Limited NRA R/T model that has storage for a 9mm in the front and a M249...
If it were me I would just use cardboard and make it like the ones you buy. After all you can’t see it with lid closed nor can anybody else. Think I’ll make one for the Expy and post pics when it’s done.
Went into Auto Zone or Advance auto and their cost for the fob was like 20 bucks but after u buy the fob you have to buy the deal that allows you to program the fob. All told it was still over 100 bucks. Seems the auto part stores are keeping up with Ford on the cost to own a new fob....good...
Could be a lifter.....do you change ur oil every 5k? Sometimes dirt or a small peice of whatever will cause a lifter to tick and normally after an oil change it cleans the crap out and no more lifter noise. Is the Expy showing any codes? I have heard that the cam phasers have caused problems...
Yes they are Jim. Solid steel crank, hollow camshafts and bottom end that’s stronger than a four bolt main would be. Oil squirts up into the bottom of the pistons to help cool things. Go to YouTube and search: 3.5 ecoboost torture test.
They pretty much tried to distroy the engine but it...
My ‘18 has the yellow coolant. I think there were some problems with the antifreeze in the builds before Jul 18 and mine was built in Aug 18 with the yellow stuff......
Oh, I see now which cutoff you’re talking about now, I thought you were referring to the momentary cutoff at a red light or stop sign....so, they will shut off after idel’in for a set amount of time? I need to read the manual a tad better next time.....
Can’t vouch for the CD player in the 19s as mine is an 18 and it’s right below the radio on the dash....but being in the console, seems it would be troublesome as you would have to open the console every time to insert or take a CD out. I’m just thinking in the wind and sometimes if the wind...
Well, did u smack him good or chomp on the service manager a bit? Can’t let crap like that happen to any of our Expy’s....we pay damn good money to have our Expy’s serviced and not to have somebody forget what they’re doing in mid stream. Yea I would give her a quart asap....
So your Expy is bacically dead in the water? Could be a bad crank sensor.....will the engine turn over at all? Most crank sensors will let the engine crank but will not start. Tell us what the engine is doing, crank or no crank, start or no start, etc.
You could actually add about two more tons on your trailer and still be fine, but don’t push the upper limits or go beyond the towing capacity specified by Ford......
