    i hate to say it, but i would only use OEM ford plugs in your 06 3valve. its hard to swallow at $25- $27 each but there is a lot of reasons why i say this. such as corrects thread chamfer pitches, to being the CORRECT plug with the correct sized gap.

    Your first statement is absolutely wrong. Just because it is a 6 cylinder vs a 8 cylinder does not equal better fuel mileage.     No. Get a set of coils off of eBay for $100. Then take a 8 mm or 9mm socket ( dont remember which it was) and ratchet, take off that single bolt holding it down, unplug the harness from that coil and pull it off. Then just reverse the steps to reinstall. Do them one at a time.
