Keep a pair of leather gloves in the truck and put them on when you get in. You will look stylish and the hands will be warm. Lol That what I do and it works great.
I think the limited would be a better value at 10,000. However as you know none of these trucks are going to give you great mpg. You may be able to get 18 - 19 on the highway. City 9 -12.
I would replace the coils that are very difficult to get to. I have a 03 Expy 5.4 and the back plugs are buried. It would be worth the price. Also coils can be purchased on line at a lot less than 80 a piece.
Isn't your truck an 18 Expy. I would call the dealer and bring it back for evaluation immediately. Taking the pictures was a great idea. Keep us posted with updates.
I had the same bug and was vomiting and crapping all day. It's a bummer. My grand daughter brought it home from daycare and passed it to the family.
With all due respect. your still a young man. Your just entering mid life. I have you by 30 years and I can say that they go way too fast...
I have the same problem occasionally when it's cold and icy. I don't know how to prevent it short of keeping the truck in the garage. But if you manually work the latch and the door lock button several times it will usually work and the door will latch.
I have the same truck also in red with the light interior in nice shape. I really like it. Yours looks very good too.
On #4 of your issues: Try inflating the tires to 35lbs. and drive for a few miles. The TPSM
may go out. They should have called them PIAM. Pain in ass monitors.
Keep the...
You must have never seen a 2003 5.4 engine to make that statement. The rear plugs are buried and very difficult to change. They go under the firewall. It would take a lot longer than 20 minutes to change the plugs, coils and wires on a regular engine let alone a 2003 5.4. Do some research...
The problem is that when a coil fails it can leave you in a bad situation, especially if your towing. I had one go out and had it replaced at 82000, then another when a few thousand miles later. I wasn't going to chance losing another one so I did a tune up at about 87000 instead of 100,000...
One of your vacuum hose may have a leak and when the engine is warm it gets worse. I think the default heat position is the dash. Check your vacuum hoses. I had a vacuum hose come off and the air wouldn't change to different registers.
I have an 03 Eddie Bauer and the back plugs are a nightmare to change. I bought my own wires, coils and plugs for around $200 and my mechanic put them in for $300. If you are talking about a 2003 5.4, I don't think $400 is a bad price from a dealer. Comments welcome.
This is strange. I read your post and when I went to my truck my door wouldn't lock. I had to move the latch and play with the buttons but got it to close. This has happened a few times and I don't know why. In fairness it's has been very cold the last few days and something must have frozen...
That's a fantastic price for all the work. It's good to see that some mechanics will cut you slack when you don't have a lot of money. You will have to remember him as you get older and pull in with your new Lincoln Navigator. Give him a $50 tip and say I remember when you where there me...
