Just checked with my Mpls/St Paul dealer -- they have yet to receive any 2022 Expeditions. I have yet to see one in my area, let alone my 12/23 order.
Strange regional allocations?
I really feel for those of you who have been on long term chip hold. I was so hopeful when my 12/23 order got into the 4/25 production window and am now parked in a lot with the rest of you. Hoping they chip away at the chips...
Just heard my dealer that my Max Plat/HDTow/eSLD (ordered 12/23, 4/25 production, 4/20 sticker) is on chip hold. Waiting to find out if they know if it's chip or wiper or both.
Guess they didn't have everything they needed for that production run and are just continuing to build them and store...
It's been quiet for a day here -
Still hoping for a change to 'built' status for my Max Platinum - invoice date per ordertrack.app on 4/19, sticker dated 4/20, but nothing since then - maybe something will pop this week or maybe I'll be in the parking lot waiting for a chip.
Hope some of you...
How’d you’d get them to replace your tsat or did you pay for it?
Maybe yours threw a code. I can’t get mine to throw one but I suspect it’s sticking based on how it acts in winter and summer.
You shouldn’t pay any more than your price at time of ordering.
That dealer is full of baloney.
I know we all want our new cars but hopefully most of us aren’t that desperate. I’d walk if they did that to me. And call Ford.
There was a significant jump from beginning of model year '22 pricing (Nov '21) when I was first quoted to now, about 3k on a Platinum, not sure about other trims.
Well, I see BCE Modules this morning on the AsBuilt site, so something must actually be happening and I see the "Activate Vehcile" button in my FordPass app - I know I can't actually do anything until I take delivery -- we'll see if it ends up on a truck or sitting in the lot waiting for chips...
I hoping those of us that got in before May will have complete vehicles - if mine shows up without these items I will be very likely to walk and keep my 2015 for another year or two.
Same with xplan and PCO.
Assume you got a signed price quote with your order. It was very clear what price I was going to be paying at time of delivery.
Just checked - ordered Plat Max 12/27. Build date was 4/25 but now shows in production with window sticker date 4/20. We’ll see, might actually be happening!
We havd a similar setup with our '15 Limited towing a 35' Surveyor. I need to add another washer to the Equalizer and re-check the setup after 2 years - I'm seeing you all have a bit less squat than I do (keeping most all cargo out of the Expy). Still tows well and very minimal sway unless...
Pricing is getting even more crazy. I just ran the Build&Price again and Plat Max 4x4 MSRP with my options has gone from 85505 to 88045 - $2500 in 3.5 months (and that's up $3k for those of you that ordered before the first $500 price increase). Wow.
Interesting. The V8 sound is hard to replicate. But so is the TT torque.
Despite issues with our Pacifica PHEV, (battery fire recall) it’s been solid.
I wanted BlueCruise but can’t justify a Grand Wagoneer to get their version. And the longer Max wheelbase is better for towing our 35’ rv...
Is it time to start looking at a Wagoneer? (Don't boot me from the forum).
I need the towing ability of the Expy. Wagoneer is the only one that matches (actually bests...). It's sort of ugly in my view but I could get over that. They'll also be putting the new twin turbo 6 cyl Hurrincaine...
Looks like the dry weight is 6303. You should be fine as long as the WDH gets dialed in right.
Similar to our Surveyor 296QBLE @ 6400 dry - tows nice with equalizer, just the Gen 3 towing mileage to deal with. My biggest concern with my 22' on order is the from 33 to 28 gallon tank - those 5...
