    I had an Explorer that acted that acted similar. It ended up being the fuel pump relay was getting weak. I swapped it with the high beam relay (which was the exact same relay) and the problem was solved. Not saying the other suggestions aren't good, but something else to check and its very simple

    no, they have them they just might not have got tripped but I can assure you they have them or you would be hearing stories of fuel system fires all over the news.

    another quick test is after the engine is completely warmed up, have a helper shut off the motor as you watch the fan. It should stop with the engine, if it continues to turn then its wearing out

    when I worked at a dealership we used the dollar bill test take a dollar bill close the door seal on it and see how much resistance there is to pulling it out do this in various places, you will know if its loose or not to adjust it you just loosen the mounting screws of the latch and move...

    all vehicles equipped with an electric fuel pump will have a fuel pump cutoff switch (aka inertia switch) in the US per NHTSA if there are exceptions I am not aware of them

    I see no mention of the starter solenoid did you try jumping it or looking at it? do you know how to do a voltage drop test?

    spray (carefully) some carb cleaner on suspect area. If the running condition changes then you have a leak in that area Do you have a smoke machine? How did you blow smoke in it (just curious)

    I did not look for yours. If you cant find it then they must not have it I would look on ebay and find a vendor that has excellent ratings. I buy lots of stuff there, never an issue as long as you are careful maybe check Amazon too? you never know with them lol

    if you dont have that size box end wrench then you definitely need more tools lol glad you got it done

    take that torx bit and put a box end wrench the size of the hex on it instead of the vice grips that would give you the clearance and the leverage tweaking the line as mentioned would work too
