Ok that makes sense on the response because I definitely jabbed it lol. When I gradually press into it it does as people have said and respond a lot quicker. I wanted to go with livewire because I want to procharge it later and rather be ready to be able to monitor necessary parameters on how...
Ok I will search him thanks. If the plugs will hold for 100K, Im ok with holding off until I feel a hickup. I wish we had 93 here in Anchorage but because of our elevation they say it's not necessary. My best choice is 90 octane unless I find a performance shop with reasonable/real alternatives...
It's a little over 75K miles. I've only had it for a month now so I doubt the plugs were changed. I was going to wait until 90K miles if it doesn't misfire to change them. I specifically seeked out an 09 and up Expedition to avoid the spark plug nightmares as they were revised at this point. The...
I replaced the intake on my wife's 03 5.4 Expedition and found out someone replaced the intake at some point to a Dorman. We bought the truck with 118K miles on it so I have no idea of when it was replaced. About 9 months ago it was at around 134K miles and it began to leak from the front by the...
Yep Silicone sprays are not your friend when it comes to long term lubrication. They will clean out any old grease and dry out over time then rust the lock mechanisms out after moisture sets in.
Oh ok. Thanks for the info. I will be sure to tune it out when the time comes. I will just continue to ease into the throttle like you said because its no hesitation that way.
Well that sucks. I would hate to have a newer Mustang with this. Its no time to think about wide open throttle when racing opponents. Is it something that can be changed with tuning? After I get my full exhaust kit I'm getting the SCT Livewire to bump a performance a little bit.
I just noticed today while on the highway in my 2010 Expedition that when I pressed the pedal to the floor it took like 2 to 3 seconds for it to downshift and take off. I haven't had too many opportunities to get on it from the time I bought it a month ago til now because of snow and ice on the...
Well I just found out the input seal where the transfer case meets the transmission is leaking letting extra fluid into the transfer case from the transmission output shaft. I took the fill plug out and it just spewed out all over the floor. Thats why my transmission fluid was a little low about...
Did you have the option to turn the backup aid on and off in the dash menu even though yours aren't visible? I don't have the option at all which leaves me to believe it isn't equipped with it. I tried that website and I could only pull up the engine and color for my Expedition.
No none of those options. I've already found a Kenwood unit that has a backup camera output that I'm going to get to make sure I don't ruin my bumper and get into any trouble. Thanks guys for letting me know it was optional. Ford doesn't make sense sometimes for the options they provide. That...
Yeah I put it in reverse and had my wife walk behind it and nothing. I thought maybe they change the sensors from the dime sized one's in the bumper and made a cleaner look perhaps. No option to select backup aid like my wife's 03. I dont have leather seats, moonroof, or premium sound so there...
I just bought a 2010 Expedition XLT yesterday and noticed it wasn't beeping as I backed up close to something. I scrolled through the menu on the dash and couldn't find an option for it. My 03 has them and much easier to scroll through options, system checks etc. on it. Just didn't think this...
I got that code on my 97 5.0 Mountaineer because the Evap hose came off the fuel tank. It also would give a fuel smell from time to time. It would stall when I blipped the throttle 1/4 way while backing up to get it moving sometimes and it would stall when I was on it kind of hard and stop hard...
Recently the front driveshaft u joint broke off the transfer case end while my wife was driving. After replacing the front driveshaft, replacing damaged shifter cable, mlps, gear shift lever and tranfer case vent valveback in my truck it was stuck in 4WD LOW. I put it in 4WD LOW while taking the...
Thanks guys! I ended up using a 1/4 npt fitting that was threaded on both sides, a couple inches of 5/8 hose and and a fitting in between the 3/8 hose and 5/8 hose. It's working fine so far. I couldn't find a barbed fitting in the parts stores or Lowes here in Anchorage. Just terrible...
I'm having the hardest time finding this part that screws into the transfer case. It is towards the top left on the front side of the transfer case looking from the front of the vehicle to the back. In the picture it's removed but you can see the threaded hole. A hose connects to it but was...
Yeah I am going to rebuild it because it's too expensive to just throw parts at it and get no results. I have someone who is going to rebuild me a heavy duty trans for $2200 with better parts. And yeah I am shifting it D-2-D because it downshifts just fine when I'm stopping. I was doing 1-2-D...
I've been having this problem with my wife's 04 Navigator for a while and been digging around for answers but I've had no luck. I was thinking maybe you 4R100 guys can help me out with solutions if you've had this problem before. The fluid is clean and full first of all and I have 143,000 miles...
Actually I meant it the other way around would the lights from the Expy fit the Navi because my wife has the 04 Navi and they are cracked and the mirror reflection is dirty. The fog lights were cheaper for the Expy thats why I asked.
Do anybody know if the fog lights from a 2003-04 Navigator will work in a 2008 Expy? They look identical from the front but couldn't see the back side of the lamp.
