I don’t know if this has been covered on here before…but yesterday I was buying blades for my 07 and I noticed they are not same size as 08 and up. This confused me since I’m not aware of any changes made to exterior between 07 and 08.
I went ahead and bought the larger 22” for 08 (driver side...
I had TWO Mazda transmissions fail doing the same thing. Lesson learned.
HOWEVER, I flushed the fluid on my 07' Expy at 196k (no service had been done on it according to previous owner) and I had ZERO issues.
I will say though...Mazda isn't known for having robust transmissions. Our truck...
They also help compensate for the fact I took off the fixed step boards (which looked strange sticking out further than the wheels IMO). Without the step boards and a better stance...I get positive comments all the time. People often think the rims are aftermarket too.
I have 2" spacers on my 07. I love the stance. No issues whatsoever. Just make sure you get the correct bore center with them, this way there's no chance of them vibrating/shaking at highway speeds. I ordered mine off Amazon.
The more I think about it…it’s gotta be engine related. Would coil packs cause this type of behavior when they go bad? The last one that went bad…it just caused hesitating at certain RPM’s. What other symptoms might point to bad coil packs?
Good thought. I had Ford change them about year and half ago…20k miles ago.
It also had a bad coil pack at the time…and I recall what that felt like. This is definitely different.
Hey all…weird symptom I’m experiencing.
When I’m accelerating hard, I get this gravel rough feeling coming thru the gas pedal…almost like it’s coming from front diff or maybe the axle trying to engage 4x4 or something. Under normal acceleration it feels normal and smooth as always.
It shifts...
Hey my Expy fam…
I recently purchased a set of Michelin’s for my 07. (275/55R20). I’m gonna have them mounted and balanced, however I’m realizing I should prob replace my TPMS’s in each wheel. Discount tire has them for $40 a pop. Which prob ain’t bad, but is that the cheapest option out there...

So I stopped by Ford yesterday to see if I could get a straight answer. Apparently the auto parts stores telling me LV is the replacement is wrong for my 2007. They said Mercon V (as JExpedition said) was correct fluid.
It was relatively easy to change the fluid. The hardest part was using a...
Ok…so I’m also confused. I did my rear diff today. I was going to do the transfer case. The manual calls for ‘Motorcraft Mercon ATF’. I went to auto parts store…and they claimed Mercon LV was what I needed. I’m not going to use it unless I know 100% it’s correct.
(2007 Limited 4x4)...
I’ve got a 2007 with 199k and to be honest…if not for the neglect of the previous owner…it’s been a quality ride. (I also recently purchased a scion for my daily driver since gas prices are killing me and the Expy is more of the family vehicle and not needed for just commuting).
That being...
You might not want to do this...but given the delay in shifting...I’d take it to a dealer or a trans shop and have them do the full flush to ensure you’re getting all the wrong fluid out.

I’m also wondering the same as the above comments. Maybe the old struts/springs were so worn that now it’s properly sprung but feels harsh?
I had my fronts replaced last year with KYB. Honestly...it rode more firmly for the first 6 months and now it seems to have settled in somewhat.
Keep in...
Actually...I’ve bought Ford wheels off eBay from trusted sellers, and several times they were OEM that were ‘refurbished’. Meaning...the seller got them in used condition, and then spent time polishing the crap out of them to make them look shiny and new...but in the process they polished the...
Another worthless post that contributes absolutely nothing. You don’t even have bucket seats he’s asking about. (Or even an expedition for that matter)
Yet...you probably think you helped the guy because you’re the only ‘mechanic’ on the forum.
Your wisdom and mechanical experience is...
I believe the ‘white Bosch’ motor is what came stock. I was also concerned about this... but it was what was in there when I changed my regulator.

Thank you! I did the window clamping as you said. The whole thing took roughly hour and half. Wasn’t as bad as I expected! Works like new now.

I bought the regulator tonite...guy at parts store said same thing. I’m going to take a stab at it tomorrow.
Thanks for input! I’m sure a few have done this job on the forum here, so i figured I’d ask for their experiences.
