Had a 2016 3.5 ecoboost from new for 125k miles, never had a catch can either. Maybe it would have fixed the carbonizing on the throttle body? Otherwise no issues.
We came from a 2016 Platinum to a 2025 Platinum, both bought brand new. No major issues on the 2016, good maintenance, 125k miles including long road trips and boat towing and hard mountain elevations. I had a glitch where it didn't operate the power seats and running boards, pulled negative...
Bought a 2023 new but only within the past 5 months? I'm not understanding the math. Did it sit on the lot for 2 years? That can't be good for seals, gaskets, etc
Outdoor rated silicone should work as well. Is there a big hole or just a couple bolt holes? Or is it like my Jeep Cherokee that has two shoulder bolts sticking out of the roof that the rails slid into?
I just ordered cross bars for ours so when we go on ski trips they are ready to carry them...
FYI for those who want weathertech, I ordered the 2nd/3rd row one piece for 2024 4th gen model, and it works in the 5th gen. Just need to trim around the console. Not sure what the hold up is at Weathertech but they're not helping themselves and what I've known to be a good brand with high...
My only opinion is that if you're lifting the front it'll make it look closer to the "don't skip leg day" trucks you see, in between the lift install and waiting for new tires. Better to lower the rear to level it out.
Putting lift blocks on will change the angle of the CV joints compared to...
We bought a 2016 with 12k on it, only issues was a leaking turbo coolant gasket and the carbon in the throttle body, 125k miles. Towed a 4000 lb boat up and down mountains and all through the desert. Treat them right and do maintenance religiously. Hoping this 2025 goes just as well, but have...
Forewarning to all who use the hitch assist for the first time, do it on level ground!!! It told me to put the truck in Neutral and release the steering wheel and brakes. Started going backwards, wheel was turning to line up with hitch, and bam.
FYI for those wanting to order Weathertech. Call them and ask when the 2/3 row will be out, and they'll offer you free shipping when they do. I ordered the first row and cargo area, but told them I wanted it all at once before winter gets here.
Mixing different brands mixes different detergents, additives, etc. Stick to one and you'll be just fine. I personally use Mobil 1 full synthetic on all my vehicles when I can, and I've had many in my garage. 2 cars (wife and I's), multiple family member cars that I've done the oil changes for...
same here, platinum spp. I don't remember seeing it in the order guide as an option, so I think the KRs are the only ones that got it. anyone with a Platinum Ultimate try it?
Got an email from Ford asking if I'd like to be a part of the beta testing for software updates and features. Tried clicking the link, logging in, and all it does is takes me to an bad gateway error. Anyone else get the email? I could probably post the link as well. I don't know about anyone...
Yep, I checked all of that. Obviously confused about truck off but you can remote start your truck. I have the power enabled on it.
Has anyone verified that it actually functions like it's supposed to?
I'm curious as to why not? I assigned the separate keys for wife and I and it works just fine to automatically switch profiles. Even when we are both in the truck.
