Wow, that thread is very old and out dated. Old school battery isolators and solenoids? A modern DC to DC smart charger will take care of all of that plus add a MPPT solar input, the ability to charge any chemistry battery. With or without a smart alternator. Be able to monitor battery voltage...
Big H had this kit installed and said Ready lift only need to move the front. He has pictures of the brackets installed.

They are, but they cut the tongue weight and tow weight of the vehicle by half when it’s installed. They have a towing guide that I didn’t see the first time I looked.

My experience with the 3/2 lift had been great. The limited up travel with the lift is a plus with 35” tires. At full compression twisted to the extreme they hit the inside fenders and almost stick in the fender wells on the rear. 37’s would hit the body and crush it for sure. 33’s would be the...
Nice find. I don’t know if I could run it with the boat or trailer on. I will contact them and see what they think. Thanks. They did have this pic on their site

AGM’s do not off gas unless they are severely over charged. And once you open the vent you pretty much ruined the battery. The problem with LiFePO4’s is they have low pulse amp numbers. Depending on the battery you may get 100 amps for 10 seconds. A good AGM will get you 800 amps and a Odyssey...
Everything is so tight under the Expy. I would like to have a second battery. I could take the spare out and put it on my rack. But I am not a fan of that. rear bumper spare tire holder would be cool. If I could find one or make one. I could also build a custom shaped Lithium battery pack, but...
102 views and no one! There have been a few random posts about people wanting to. But no one has found a really good mounting location. Are you wanting to do a winch or a lot of lights? I have decided on a solar generator to run my fridge when the solar panels can’t do it. The Expy’s...
Well, that’s because they are not aircraft and do not have to adhere to the fixed wing or rotor physics of the high low pressure that creates lift. The bee’s wings are not ridged and actually twist and bend during flight. They move forward and backwards as well as up and down. They swirl the air...
Over the holiday I monitored my Trans and engine temp to the lake. There is a climb just outside Mesquite NV and it was 116* I am just under 13K GVCW with the boat and loaded Expy. Doing 75 MPH with the AC on rolling 35’s with HD tow. Highest the engine temp was 221* and transmission temp high...
One of the funnest things you can do on 2,3 and 4 wheels. It’s to hot at the sand dunes in the summer so the season starts when the temps start dropping and goes until there is snow on the ground in Utah. Glamis CA has a big party over thanksgiving weekend to celebrate the kick off of dune...
I bought the ACOpower Lion cooler. It’s not a overlanding or RV cooler. It has its own battery. Made for the soccer mom, day trips and such. Pretty happy with it. The battery will last though the night if the temps are below 100. I have 120 watt solar panel on the roof that will run the cooler...
This has been driving me crazy since boating season and now dune season is ready to start. I am seriously thinking about adding a switch and mount it to the back bumper somewhere. It’s really handy when you need it. But I am constantly hooking and unhooking trailers. And it loves to open and...
You did check both glove boxes for a left behind toy, electronic or something? It’s going to be asked. So it might as well be the first question.

Utah uses this line and it’s not very far down on the Expy. I had them take it from the line to the camera and mirror holder. Didn’t add much. I had a RAM truck that the line was way down the windshield and it actually made it useful.

Some states have a limit on how far down the visor strip can go. Also a good tint guy will have the primary driver sit in the vehicle and make sure they don’t put the dividing line in your natural line of sight.

I think this is why the Gen 4’s don’t have the venting rear windows. Your list is spot on. I would just add quick access to the cooler.

The Yakima has had reviews of it being louder due to the platforms slats going left to right across the vehicle vs the Rhino slats running front to back of the vehicle. The lowest I have had mine was directly clamped to the factory crossbars. My set up is working well. Noise isn’t to bad and it...
I don’t know if this would work. I have the Rhino one and it helps with the wind noise from driving. It does nothing for the crosswind. Luckily my awning stopped that noise.

Wow, they don’t look that big on the Expy. I like the chrome and the last pic is killer. I would have those bent and broke in a week. I wish I would have went 18”s instead of the 20’s with my driving.
