I think I will. I just heard from my local dealer and there is NO deliver schedule other than "you can order now if you want to.
The refresh concerns me a little. I really like the exact packages I can get now.
Hmmmm. Having the local doofus install chips sounds dicey to me. As does letting it sit in their lot, in the weather, getting door dings, etc.
My 2010 is running great. I just want to replace it now that
* Paint is peeling off the hood and rear hatch
* There is a rust hole under one rear door...
Given the pandemic and parts shortages on some vehicles I am curious, are there any issues ordering a "custom" Expedition from the factory?
I want exactly what I want (based on the ford configuration web site). Not just "the nearest one in stock". This is how I have always done it. Can I expect...
I am looking to replace my 2010 expedition.
The ford web site has very little info.
I am interested in the Limited with the stealth package. Are the "stealth leather seats" ventilated?
I don't want to upgrade to second row captains chairs (this removes the stealth option and I prefer the...
In a previous life I worked developing an instrument to measure octane in gasoline. The tech involved an optical cell with windows and mirrors to make the measurement (spectroscopy).
I won't name the brand, but when we ran to low end product the optics would eventually get dirty. When we ran...
Thanks.
The deal is that a friend has a line on a free/cheap trailer and he just wants me to pull it in to his property from the next town over. I'm waiting to find out the weight and if it has brakes or not.
Never mind, I found it. I didn't realize that there was a separate fuse for the trailer parking lights. All fixed.
I didn't have any mini low-profile fuses so I used a regular mini fuse. The power block cover closes fine anyway. Is there any harm in leaving it this way, or should I buy some low...
I have a 2010 Expedition with the towing package. I just bought a new camper trailer and the parking lights don't work. the brake/hazard lights work fine. (4 pin connector)
I thought I was clever so I plugged in the 7 pin to 4 pin connector and tried that. No luck there either.
The turn...
I've got a 2010 Expedition 5.4L 4WD with all the bells and whistles including the towing package and class IV hitch.
My question is this.
How much do you think I can tow safely (short distance) without a trailer brake?
Background:
A friend is buying a RV trailer locally and just wants it...
I found the problem and it was not the motor! I replaced the through-glass gearbox and it looks like the pin that goes in to the disk on the motor assembly came loose. It's just pressed in. I guess I knocked it out somehow, but it was wobbling like crazy. So I pressed it back in and so far so good.
They are AWESOME on mt 2010. When I open my window and the rear vent windows I get nice smooth flow through the cabin.
If I am hauling something stinky like gasoline or fertilizer the really help.
I have a 2010 expy
So.... I had the usual rear wiper freeze up problem. I replaced the rear wiper "transmission". It now works better. BUT, the wiper doe no always travel the right distance (degrees), sometimes going to far and hitting the paint. I think I need to replace the rear wiper motor...
Wondering if anyone else has this?
Once in a rare while I will be driving along (2010 expy) and I will hear a loud bang like something hit the body of the truck from outside. This is very rare like 1 or 2 times a year tops. Sounds like a baseball thrown at the truckor something.
I know it's...
In my case (2010 expy) the wiper transmission was pretty stuck.
(Open glass, try to move wiper blade, should move freely).
If this happens a replacement transmission is relatively cheep and easy to replace.
I have a 2010 Expedition and the rear wiper is driving me nuts.
Normally the wiper's range of motion (looking at it from the back) is about a little less than 180 degrees. (from about 5 degrees to about 175 degrees).
Sometimes, for reasons I can't figure out, it sometimes decides to sweep...
Don't do it. Learn from my mistakes..... I tried some "micro thin" in channel deflectors. Had serious bounce back issues than they broke my driver's side regulator. Had to replace the regulator.
I went stick on and never looked back.
I have both a Thule car top torpedo and a hit hauler.
I mostly like the car top carrier. That way I can still open the rear hatch without unloading the hitch carrier. Also, too much weight on the hitch carrier and the truck handles poorly.
I use the hitch hauler just for "dirty" stuff like...
