    I have a 2008 with 180K miles, apart from tyres, front disk replacement and one radiator hose leak, really not had any issues, hope to keep her for another 5 years (250K miles) and then retire her for a new Expy (will probably be my last ever new car as I will be 65!).     Are you sure you reconnected all the breather hoses back to the air filter. On my daughters Ford Edge, there was an engine vent house from the rear engine bank that I forgot to connect back into the air filter and it caused exactly the issues you describe.. as both sensors are doing the same...

    probably got some water inside it from the wash that messed with the electronics, it dried out and everything now works, but you might want to try and open the mirror and protect whatever was getting wet, or it will happen again and probably not recover!!
