    That’s why I didn’t buy a Thule. I got the Yakima Skybox. Its maximum span reaches the rear rail in its factory position. It’s also made in the USA.

    This. Definitely not enough room. I guess you could attach it to the bottom of the liftgate, but then wiring would be problematic.

    Just bear in mind what Aspen said. I would epoxy that thing into the cupholder to prevent it, and the monitor attached to it, from decapitating someone in the event of a car accident. Also, make sure the monitor has the correct VESA bolt pattern to match the mount.

    It's annoying, but my trick to see the temperature (when Apple Carplay is on) is to press the Rear climate button twice. You see the outside temperature at the top of the screen for a few seconds as it switches back and forth.

    After all the testing I did, I found the best fit on the shorty Expy is the Yakima Skybox Carbonite 21. It has a wider span than the Thule, so you can leave the Expy crossbars in the factory setting. With a Thule, you have to move the rear crossbar to its more forward position (about 16")...
