Alhrir, I wish there were more pics lol.
I think there is also an intercooler relocation kit that some have made/bought and considering it is hot all the time there maybe a larger IC might help too.
I wish pulling the nose cone was an easy affair, I'd love to set my amateur engineering brain on...
Maybe it is not on the XLTs, but I have it set to vibrate and never felt the wheel "nudge" me. I do like it when it suggests a cup of coffee to me, I am always down for some 'Java!!
Huh Fozz.... Been looking at the F150 guys with lifts and anything above 2-3 inches looked pretty severe and THAT does not look bad at ALL! Thanks for taking the time to post that!
Lob nailed it.
That being said, there are probably some speeds/range 4/load where the 3.31s will shine, but it might be difficult to achieve. My FX4/HD tow gets 27 mpg at 70 mph (based upon info center), sea level with air and 300 lbs of me/gear, tires 34lbs.
Even if I had an identical rig...
Well let's face it--none of these channels (I have no affiliation with these projects) are prefect, but ask anybody with a channel, it is a learn as you go job. I placed them here to show the handful of people using Expys for more than mall crawling or bumping into hybrid vehicles in Starsucks...
Anyone, Anywhere Know of a Diff Drop for 4rth Gen?
Still on the fence for reconsidering the ICONS at maxed out height, and still feel that anything over 2 inches is a real stress for the CVs. Was wondering if a proper diff drop might be a good option.
My research has shown everything from...
Decided to make a one-stop shop for YouTube channels that promote Ford Expeditions primarily in a Overlanding/Camping/4-Wheeling role with several videos/mods/etc. PLEASE NOTE, some channels have not been updated in a while, or have moved onto other products.
**Moderators please consider...
ExplorerTom, I kind of feel almost anyone going anywhere off-road in a Gen4 Expedition is "impressive." Even TFL is doing ultra-lame stuff, even when they are not using the drive system it incorrectly and crying "foul."
To me (and quite clearly IMHO having owned both including other 4wd...
Found these good-natured folks awhile back. One of the only channels I know going for it with a Gen4 Expedition, and modding it for overland/hunting/camping. I went to really examine his tire/suspension combo, but overall it is a nice, family oriented channel.
Feel free to give him some...
Just so damn expensive and I really feel like any drivetrain issue not engine related will be met with the ire of the local service manager. I am in the middle of nowhere, and if Poppa Ford here says go pound sand I will have little choice.
I believe I will stick with the Bilsteins and 33's...
Because I owned one, dynoed it 3x prior, added the exhaust, drove it enough to "learn" the additional flow, then redynoed it 3X the same day. With conditions adjusted/not adjusted it gained nothing but noise. Ended up going back to stock and selling it. Now I have seen gains on vehicles that...
As I continue to wait... and wait for my Expedition specific Bilstein 5100s to arrive I am trying to familiarize myself more with the nuances of IFS/IRS lifts.
I fully understand the Expeditions have a limited amount of wheel travel, and recognize that raising the stock suspension puts...
Has Anyone Ever Had Warranty Issues After Using ForScan?
Even anecdotally with dealers saying you messed with the brain? I am not including if you "brick" it and have to go to Ford to fix, I mean cancel it as if it was a tuner?
