If that happened to me it would be the last straw.
Sorry to say it, but if snow makes my car go into limp home mode, it would be limp to any other dealership to get rid of it.
IDK about you, but I get the feeling Ford has been relaxing a bit in their standards of QC...
Rant off----
The adult conversation should also include taxes. B/C taxes and stuff...
*Please Note* I'm not anti-EV/Hybrid and a lot of numbers here are rough but designed to being up questions, not try to convince or sway opinion*
It varies state/county etc., but the price of gas & diesel has taxers...
1. OK, so a hubcentric spacer means the wheel rests on the the center ring, correct?
2. So, all weight of the one wheel vehicles rests and rolls on that ring, and it is all held in place by the lugs--which in theory should support NONE of the trucks weight, correct?
3. It appears that the the...
After reading all of this, I really miss my first (1 of 5) "dumb" solid axle 1997 4x4 Expedition XLT with 2/AWD/4hi/4low... My first 4x4, first SUV, and first real off-roading.
I'll post some pics one day, but factory it was the tallest one ever produced with real metal bumpers, I think.
Kudos to user WAKEBOARDER for providing this link:

Did the mileage correction in the "Engineering Menu". TOoo easy and there is a host of other interesting things in that menu that I have no idea what the...
Just fill out their form. I like the idea of additional range if towing heavy, and of course getting off the island...

I asked for a 32-39 gallon one w/o loss of too much ground clearance, and hopefully under $1K
YMMV
I did luck out, and the several hours of rain washed The Bullet salt and sand off completely--which was a nice touch (I sprayed the underside with a pressure hose for about 30 minutes and not a drop of salt/sand could be found).
I would say I definitely did cover all of the temps, fuel pumps...
I am sure the ELSD-Locker is "superior" to the F150 Pin-True Locker, though not a strong. The Expy is the more refined, gentrified F150--more feline and less--how do you say? Boorish ;)
IT also may depend on what your definition of "superior" means LOL.
I do not like the idea of the rear...
Any others check their fuel meter variances? I am getting a 5-6% favorable discrepancy all the time when measured with a calculator miles vs gallons filled.
And please, before you say "all factory readings are off--!" I can tell you other vehicles I have owned were w/i normal variations of...
Had a recent round-trip over 3,000 miles starting from Florida to New York. Went from 82F degrees to 17F, and she never missed a beat. See Signature for factory specs. Weight of people and kit: 750+/- pounds, 87 octane used always.
Mileage at slow speeds for 40-60 mph average 27-29 mpg...
LOOKS GREAT E2!! Love that color--my favorite even above the Silver Bullet's LOL.
Definitely how it should have come from the facotry with the FX4 package. IDKWTF Ford thinks sometimes. Oh wait I do :-(
6,000 more miles before I change mine...
Another example of the gentrification of trucks for aerodynamics and blah-blah-blah. First heard of "REAR ONLY" on the Land Cruiser forums (yes them too).
Problem is, all of your real braking and turning occurs in the front. Problem is, when some of these pot-metal Chi-com products self...
Meeker, I feel there is a great deal of truth to what you are saying, and maybe at highway speeds the AWD vs 2WD is moot. My feelings is that AWD is still the right answer, but I can definitely see where if one goes over a patch of whatever, it might even depend on if it hits all the wheels or...
Yeah posters, let's get back to Mother Earth...
Those body side moldings dont look half bad, especially at that price and painted (if all 4? Did not look that deep)
W/O getting into it to deep on the looks vs form, etc. opinion, I think the 18s offer more tire options and you could always go up a stiffness class or air them up over 40PSI.
It has been my experience on standard trucks SUVs that tire sizes above 18 inches ride harsher and transmits more...
Q: So Snow Mode is for Snow/Ice Conditions, but What if on the Highway?
I get that the system is set up for what I would assume: slow going through bad weather--to get you through it.
But if you are traveling with traffic at highway speeds, and there are some snowy, icy bits what mode would...
What's funny is the only two options I truly wanted, I got: FX4 and HD tow package.
And while I have never bothered with anything less, the 3.73s sure make this thing quite quick on its feet, and if you feed her 91+ octane, even more so.
If they offered 4.10s, would I take 'em? Only if I...
