So, just got off the phone with the service advisor. They are just going to replace both cats, then will monitor and diagnose to see if any other issues...
What I'm keeping in the back of my mind is that it stunk/ran inefficiently on the way out to MT via CO from PA dragging camper (after a...
Back from MT and now definitely over half the miles on mine are while dragging the 7K# camper... Plenty of fuel run through! I averaged 5.5mpg on the 91/no ethanol and that only really increased to 6.5 when I got to the 93 e10 states, so really ****** fuel mileage/below what I'd usually get by...
OK, so, both Cats need replaced... I guess there are two? "Bank 1 and bank 2" both are exhibiting metallic noise/clearly something broke off inside them/failing. Why I wonder?
Tech said it is ok to drive... I'll be checking for additional codes and clearing often. Warranty work done after parts...
Thanks @Jason and @Hamfisted for the replies/info... Both these codes at the same time not something they've seen much/if ever in this dealer. Actually not open today except for oil changes, but, one tech is here/going to have a look. Damn emissions stuff, wonder if it would be OK to drive a few...
Been dragging the TT around a good bit and feeding it 91 lately (lots) instead of usual diet of 93/94 octane fuel due to location.
Didn't see anyone else with these codes when I searched who is running bone stock like me.
Exhaust sounds like **** and stinks way more than normal.
$0.01 for your...
Highway driving in heavy rain has "fixed" my drivers side that would half deploy and then come back up. I love tri flow for bike chains, going to give some Boeshield T-9 (also great ****) treatment to mine now because that is what I have on hand...
OP has 5 bikes to carry! This was my problem w/minimal options available. The kids have quickly outgrown the smaller bikes that are a little dodgy on it. 6 bikes on any vehicle with 2" receiver and it'll hold up to much abuse. I know! The 1/2" heater hose for handlebar padding is a bit worn...
I've had to watch my own video twice now @Deadman [emoji12]
Something about it totally counter intuitive and I've only really done it like 4 or 5 times...
I didn't notice any difference whatsoever PA to FL in all 10 gears vs FL to PA locked out at 8th. Guess I try again this summer to see what locked at 7th is like for a few tanks and see... Makes sense given max torque figures/worth a try!
I'm 43, but in my experience, it is uncommon, but can certainly happen... It is possible to apply enough torque to a piece of tempered glass that it cracks. Straight cracks across are usually from an impact or thermal condition. It could be there was something applying pressure on the other side...
If I were you, I'd do the big kid seat in the 3rd row in the current ride with larger side down and see if that fits the needs. Also sounds like a nice part for you is you have time to realize that lots of door dings or a minivan is in your future as a father of 3. [emoji12]
-father of 4...
Congrats on #3! I recommend sucking it up and getting a minivan, actually. It provides you with a lot of space and utility for all the new requirements and crap that having 3 brings. Or if you can't stomach doing that, just trade yours for a SWB without captains chairs in second row. Note that...
Yup, I'm also in the "useless as tits on a bull changing those fluids at 21K" camp...
That being said, I am also a huge fan of doing what I want, so, I'd say if that is what you want to do go for it, man! [emoji41]

I've only ever noticed this when towing and under a hard engine load at cooler (45-55 F) ambient temps. Never when not towing. The video is the tail end of it going up to 234 (highest indicated it went) and coming back down dragging the...
Insurance paid for mine less $100 damage deductible. Still don't know how or exactly when it cracked.
Think the part was like $1150 from Ford; pretty crazy for a taillight...

Not great, but, somewhat of a good answer, I...
Endorsements/restrictions/requirements (or lack thereof)
Hand controls, hand brake, left foot gas pedal, etc.
A total guess, but, that is the only stuff on the back of my PA license...
Wait, I just re-read FWD? They built FWD only explorers? [emoji23]
Just buy a vehicle that exceeds the max weight you're intending to pull...
Right tool for the job and all that...
Well, you are posting this in the Expedition forum, so, forest thought is buy an expedition with tow package!
I towed at/slightly above capacity with my 2005 Tacoma a few times. Definitely beats the piss out of pretty much everything.
Some things to consider:
Trans cooler/aftermarket gauge to...
