    As a data point, in snowy conditions, today, I had 4A and 'Snow' mode. Worked extremely well. Was on a 4 lane running 50-60, power going to all 4 wheels, and throttle control mapped so that the throttle is not as sensitive and keeps the revs lower.

    I concur with the above posters on the Fumito valve. With a tube, I can put it straight into the 2.5 gallon container. Obviously, you need to do one change without it to get it on there :) I also use the Mobil1 212A filter.

    With regards to the Hankook OEM tires: there are two kinds of the 'same' tire. Those made in the US and those made in Korea (If I recall; not the US, anyway). The US made ones are more expensive and have the 3 peaks snow symbol, the Korean ones - fitted as OEM tires - do not.

    To be fair, a lot of vehicles [SUVs] are like that. Molded panels over a basic frame. On the front, I added a Raptor skid plate. Don't know how much snow it deflects, or keeps out of the bay, but it does deflect critters quite well.

    @Expedition Dave, are you saying that 5mm spacers are available that are hubcentric, and do not put extra stress on the lug bolts (there’s enough thread to use them)? It seems that may be a good size for my needs, too.

    Not trying to be a smartass, but did you not test drive the vehicle? I can understand the limited power output for the DC/AC converter is not something you can easily test (the manual does state 180W), but if there’s something important to you, surely you’d test what it can and cannot do?

    There’s actually quite a bit of room around the bulb, inside the housing. You are correct, though, the heatsink will get hot. With decent coiling the wires around, inside the housing, I don’t think there is much concern.

    Both good points. Don't know about the inrush. As far as the low beams being DRL: I used Forscan to use only the 'turn signals' as DRL - these I replaced with switchback LED and have a really nice bright white light, but not enough to blind anyone.

    Not sure what you mean by this: what kind of modifications? Everyone else seems to be able to fit LED in the high beam location without issues. As an aside, most new design LEDs work fine in the projector-style lamps, that the non-LED expedition has. Some have reported 'dead spots', I believe...

    Nice. I wasn’t certain about the Expy frame with IRS, and whether they thinned the frame to save weight, except at the jack points. I couldn’t find any warning in the manual about jacking only at those points.
