    33" in spare tire location

Wait, didn't you say "Can i fit my 295/70 tire in the spare location?", I know you said 'tire' but you can't mount just a 'tire' in that location - it is usually mounted on a rim. So, you just have a tire, but no rim? Or, do you already have 33" wheels, but no spare of that size? If so - put...

    33" in spare tire location

Did you try it? Rather than just taking an approximate guess, I'd say give it a try. There are a lot of 'truisms' stated here that are not true, and visa versa.

Oil Level Gauge on 2019 Expy

As another data point: mine is a 2019 (built august) and the pressure indicator goes to zero a few seconds after the ASS kicks in.

You had them installed: what hours/price did they charge for the install, if you don’t mind?

    3.5L EcoBoost Engine Lube

I recall reading in the manual that semi-synthetic is recommended in the US and full synthetic in Mexico. The key is regular changes based on the type of load the engine has to work under. It’s better to err on the side of caution and change earlier than required than later.

    SHOPPING FOR A NEW EXPEDITION

My 2 cents: I do not think you will miss it if you are towing a smaller trailer. However, I would get it. I don’t know how into TTs you are, but I can imagine you wanting a bit of an upgrade in a couple of years. Don’t let your tow vehicle be the limiting factor.

Buying a used ford expedition and most do not have HD tow package can one be installed aftermarket?

As a data point: I do not have the tow package. I don’t find the gearing to be a problem with the ~5k trailer I tow, but have not towed extensively since getting the vehicle (still way better than the Previous model GM suburban with the 5.3). The brake controller is trivial to add. A bigger...

    Vibration while towing

Just wanted to bump this up. I have a vibration towing a utility trailer. With it empty, it’s at around 45 to 65. With a 1000lbs or so in it, the vibration is lessened and at a higher speed. In addition, I don’t have vibration (or it is not evident) towing a 5000lb travel trailer with WDH.

    4th Gen Wiring Diagram?

Unlikely. You have 12V while the car is stopped; or running. While starting, the voltage can drop significantly (you'll see the halogen lights dim). Some devices require voltage to be maintained, or are sensitive to voltage fluctuations. The capacitors simplistically 'ride out' this brief power...

    Coin cubby -> keyfob cubby

You can disable the double honk using Forscan, which is what I did. It was actually the main reason for investigating forscan.

    Trailer Mode

That's true. It isn't really a warning, but it should be, like you said.

    Trailer Mode

I suspect it’s a reminder that you have not hooked your trailer [back] up, properly. You have to deliberately select ‘no trailer’.

Large Senior dog & loading help

If you have just a folding set of steps, they need to be sturdily placed, and have something so the dog can’t see through them - so it looks like a solid step.

    2019 XLT 202A FX4 or Limited 300A

If you think you need the 4x4, then get the FX4. If you really want the sunroof/moonroof (whatever) get the other one. personally, I’m not particularly fond of sunroofs. Just get a convertible and be done with it.

Impact of Heavy Duty Tow Package (w/ 3.73 axle ratio) on MPG gas mileage

I have one without the HD tow. The only advantage, I think, is the marginally quieter ride, and that'll be unnoticeable. I'm getting 17.5 in eco mode with my mix of driving, with highway at 75mph. Really, not as much of a 'saving' as I would have thought. I wish I had the HD tow, even though I...

    Tow Hook to Shackle Conversion

Bummer. Looking at the web page for them, https://www.roughcountry.com/ford-tow-hook-shackle-conversion-kit-rs150c.html it looks like lower trimming is required. The fog light wiring is under the tow hooks, (I've relocated my wiring above the hooks). Depends on how much trimming is required...

I guess it's still too early for big name lowering kits?

While not a personal cup of tea, a lowered expedition with 22” wheels does (would) look good. Better suited to a limo style vehicle. Easier to get in, definitely.

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

Obviously, everyone wants their car looking nice and pristine, as close or better than new car as long as possible. Black is a very difficult color to keep looking good - or rather, closer to that new car shine. Ceramic coatings help keep it that way a lot longer. Its hard to stave off the...
