What else needs removing to take out the coils/shocks? I've seen pictures and video removing the hub nut, control arms, loosening ball joints, etc. But no videos for 2018+
That’s exactly what I found. I was concerned about the passenger wiper park position (it’s just slop in the system) but it works fine, on the frosty couple of days we have had.
Haha. The wife is like that. Many years ago, got her a car with electric windows. Complained that this new tech would be something else to go wrong, even though electric windows are one of the simplest technologies.
ironically, after 150000 miles, both passenger side window motors packed in...
Do they have an external box? If so, how did you deal with that?
Are they the correct fitment? HB3/9005? I have now come to distrust the Amazon compatibility thing AND the manual (of course, I could just go have a look, but it's a bit pesky to get at. The fogs I ordered were wrong - they are...
I’m interested in a good set of LEDs, so may look into these. Back to your point, I don’t see a problem, as long as the distance vision/lighting is fine. Do you need that area lit while driving at anything above 20mph? I would say not.
As you noted, putting the fogs on lights that area. That’s...
From what I have seen and read, if you go wider than 285 with stock offset (+44), it’ll rub on the upper control arm at full lock. I believe the 22s have 285 wide tires?
those KO2 tires do look good. How are they in the wet/light snow? That’s the biggest issue I have with the current tires -...
Maybe an oldish thread, but I’m disappointed with the weathertech on the front. They are relatively short, and have a bump pushing into the wheel well - presumably where the power running boards go (I have the XLT).
I think they will keep mud/dirt/snow out of the front of the board, and off the...
That’s true. There are a lot of gaps that the dirt gets under. Just like the passenger doors; if you want to give it a clean, you have to open the doors and clean the door jambs - of course the rear is worse because of all the nook and crannies, and the sheer quantity of dirt.
Yes, I put in a couple of 194 base led bulbs. As long as they have a ‘circular’ arrangement, rather than just a top led, they work fine. The housings have the bulbs facing in the same direction on both sides of the plate.
Tongue in cheek, meet captain obvious.
Should I repeat "maybe a connection is loose?". If so, and the OP had a shop perform the installation, I'd suspect that there isn't something the OP really has the time and effort to deal with (and there is nothing wrong with that) and the best bet is to...
When you install the package ck1-1 with the modified aria4 components, your dealer/installer has to make sure the gremlin6 option is deinstalled prior to mating the x6 to the 687-4 ( not the -4a, that’ll cause other problems with the active chassis braking).
In other words, something was not...
While I would be on the fence regarding early oil changes (I’ll be changing mine at 3k) instead of the 5 to 7k, if you are capable of spending 50 to 70k on a vehicle, the few bucks extra a year on earlier oil changes isn’t going to make a scrap of difference, cost wise.
ive seen oil analysis on...
As noted, and OBD device, and use your phone. I’m a bit dubious of the indicators on the dash (or the Bluetooth data, I don’t know which). The temperature swings significantly, but the dash gauge hardly moves - not very linear. It’d also like to see oil pressure (better than the ‘on/off’ gauge)...
I do not think this is a thread derail...it’s directly related to as/s benefits - and drawbacks.
I use it - or rather, don’t bother to turn it off - but it’s based on the driving I do where I am. The traffic lights seem to be chronically long. The annoyance I have is parking: stop the car in...
you are correct, regarding the LEDs. I tried 2 different types for the rear lights before finding a good one. The first set was bright, but only at certain angles. The second had great coverage, but the turn signal was not as bright as the incandescent. The 3rd type was much better - brighter...
I understand these have three different spring seat settings, is that correct? What level did you set them at, and how easy would it be to change the setting, for example, on the back?
An oldie (for young millennials) but a goodie: Jason (Engineering Explained) does a good job of explaining a few things.
I don't know why people seem astonished - and cannot believe - that technology has advanced where we can get electric motors, and their electromechanical components to...
