    4th Gen Expy Ditch lights?

No, I never noticed any mind noise at all. The vehicle is very quiet inside, except for tire noise (worn OEM Hankooks). I also have a pusher bar on front with lights, and don’t hear noise from that either.

    4th Gen Expy Ditch lights?

Wasn’t sure what you meant by ‘ditch lights’ but it seems it’s another term for A-pillar lights? If so I used SDHQ A-Pillar brackets coupled with rigid lights.

Expedition 2019 Platinum 4A mode really "auto" or is it actually 4H?

Well, depends on your definition of off-road... ;) Everyone's definition is different. I have no qualms about getting into rough terrain around the farm and pastures, pulling stuff around in such conditions...as long as it doesn't damage the paint...:p I'm a fan of Matt's Off Road Recovery, on...

Expedition 2019 Platinum 4A mode really "auto" or is it actually 4H?

I think there may be a terminology issue, here. (Caveat, I don’t have 4H). I think people are saying that 4 wheel drive is ‘locked in’ in 4A because the front differential is engaged, where in other vehicles, for 4A (auto) it would only engage when needed. However, in 4A, just because it’s...

Expedition 2019 Platinum 4A mode really "auto" or is it actually 4H?

Not seeing the problem, here. 4A seems appropriate. It automatically applies 4A when needed. If you are in 'sport' mode, the likelihood of needing more traction is increased, so applies some to the front wheels, as well as the rear. It's not 'locked in' as it can change based on requirements. I...

Excessive dirt & rocks in underbody and frame

Sounds like you might have to crawl under there with a brush and hose. I’ve had to take some panels off to clean out straw, stones and various areas with dirt accumulation. That back bumper cover area does seem to accumulate more than it’s fair share.

Odd tire? Really on a new 2022 Exp!

In addition, 'full size spare', while not necessarily saying its a match (as everyone noted) is that it is a proper tire and not a 'temporary' tire.

    2019 Shock BAD at 30kmi

Same issue with the shocks, about the same mileage, 3 out of 4 leaking. Only noticed it because of an oil spot in the driveway; it was dripping off the rear lower control arm. I replaced them with bilstein shocks (fronts still to do). Didn’t bother replacing them with the same shock that’s going...

Expedition 2019 Platinum 4A mode really "auto" or is it actually 4H?

If the management system thinks it needs it, then it puts power to the front. If you see power applied to the front wheels, then I guess it thinks it ‘needs it’. Ergo, as needed seems correct :)

Looking for winter A/T tires for my 2021 platinum 4x4 stock size is 285/45r22 will a 285/60r20 work with new wheels Thanks

I am also looking for new tires, and will probably be going with 285/55R20. As noted above, the 285/60R20 might rub. I do not have a lift, either.

    Tire rotation TPMS Position

I can confirm that driving a bit (actually less than a mile) the tire pressure sensors read the correct location.

2018 Expedition Max XLT shocks or struts?

Thanks, I found that one and was helpful for the rear. All I could find is the 3rd gen front strut. At least it has some torque settings for a variety of bolts. It'll just be the lower shock mounts, but that doesn't seem enormously critical.

2018 Expedition Max XLT shocks or struts?

I did the rears and found that they were not bad (apart from the gorilla torque settings). If the fronts are easier, it'll be golden! :) Do you have the torque settings for the front: I can only find earlier model settings (which I'm dubious about - mentions 400ft-bs for the shock, which is a...

    Front shock torque settings

I'm pretty sure this is not correct (that's a quote from a web site which seems to mix the older model with the new - I believe the lug nut torque on 4th gen is 150 ft-lbs, not 125). The lower mount, if I recall, has two bolts seeing an image of someone on the forum who had done it, and the axle...

    Front shock torque settings

I know a few have changed out their front shocks. I need to do that because of leaks and am not going to put OEM back on. I’m trying to find out what the torque settings are for all the bolt/nuts that need removing, and what really needs removing to get the shock/strut out. I know there are...

Added a Setina pusher bar and raptor front skid plate. Both required bumper modifications, if that counts.

A Friendly Reminder on Drive Modes for 4WD

If it’s slick, use 4A. As conditions worsen, use what is says on the box. I’ve used the snow and grass modes, and they work very well. Remember that the tires you have can have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the mode you are in. I didn’t think the non-FX4 non-HD had 4H (can’t...

Any 1-2 Inch Rear Coil Spacer Lifts?

So, I have the dreaded shock oil leak on one of the rears, and looks like the front. I just purchased the 5100 shocks: can't you bump up the ring on those or are you looking for more than that? (I know you have some posts about it, but can't find the relevant one at the moment).

    2nd row climate control removal

I hear that. But what are people/companies doing about it? I'd hazard a guess at nothing or very little. We have a need for servers at our place of work. We, the bottom guys need them to perform a job. we can't even innovate a solution because, as we go up the chain, 'that not our standard...

25% over MSRP? Better off doing factory order?

Yes, they will be able to sell it. I have a BMW on order and they were pretty up front about it. Put a deposit down, if you don’t want it, we will refund the full amount, keep the car and sell it, no problem.
