I got a wrench icon during one of my neutral events, but it went away. No engine light, but when they checked there were a bazillion codes in there, mostly "Stuck in park" errors which go along with the TSB.
I was thinking this at first till he said it wouldn't rev. Mine revved up every time it fell on it's face. Definitely was in a false neutral scenario. Not saying it's not, but that part is puzzling.
I posted this elsewhere, but just got mine back last week. 1.5 months total. About 3 weeks just to clear the backlog so they could diagnose it, then another 3 weeks to complete the repairs. No idea how long they waited on parts. I had a loaner truck so wasn't too bad about waiting. Mine was...
If the transmission was rebuilt 40K miles ago, then it was likely with the old CDF drum, and might be having the same problems again, and they'll be your expensive problems.
As long as I can get a decent loaner, I'm not that concerned. They didn't have any loaners initially, but my SA snagged me one as soon as possible. I was happy to rack up miles on their truck instead of mine for the time being. It did suck that it was an XLT and I missed the features of my...
Interesting that 2020 models were rolling out so early in the year while 2019's were still being built. Mine was built in August of 2019 so apparently not affected by the recall. I did check the VIN against Ford's recall site and nothing listed.
I've had a couple of neutral out situations, first two were when the engine/transmission were cold. Last one happened fully warmed up on the highway, went to make a pass, changed lanes and pressed on the gas, engine revved, no power and a wrench icon on the screen. Now rapidly slowing down I...
Also, where you live plays a lot into it. I live in the Dallas area, and we hop on Interstates or highways to go just about anywhere. You can easily drive 20 miles without ever touching your brakes. When I lived in Cleveland, I'd only get on the highways for a few miles, but I had several...
Found that the console shifter on the F150 will do the same. I'm curious if the console shifter is really just connecting contacts in there instead of doing any actual shifting, in which case it's no different than buttons or a dial, just makes people feel better because it looks like what they...
Nice. I had our first trip to Moab in mind when I bought mine and didn't want the extra back end hanging off on the easy stuff we were doing. However, driving to and from Moab, the bigger tank would have been nice. That said, the non-Max tank still seemed to exceed the occupants bladders and...
Mine is in the shop to get transmission looked at. When I dropped it off they said two weeks to even look at it and no loaners available. My SA pinged me a week and a half later with a 700 mile F150 FX4 loaner waiting on me. I've had it for a week and a half now, still no word on my Expedition.
You are going to love the Expedition. We love ours, and it's in the shop right now and I have a 2024 F150 FX4 as a loaner and we want the Expy back. The stealth looks so much better, it's so nice having the third row, and picking up things like groceries is better when you aren't having to...
Give it a shot, you've got control over the gas and brakes so it's on you if you crash into something, just the same as when you do it yourself, it just cuts the wheel at the perfect times.
I've yet to get the "Backing in assist" feature to ever find a parking spot.
How to parallel park.
Step 1. Keep driving till you find normal parking.
Oh my goodness, my Expy is in the shop and I have an F150 loaner and it's got regular cruise control and I'm so spoiled that I hate it, I want my adaptive back.
Congrats. I didn't think I was a full-size SUV guy, but right now I've got an F150 loaner while my Expy is in the shop and I want MY truck back. :D Hope you love yours as much as we love ours. Good call on the Limited Stealth, it's the best looking one you can get.
I can drive one. I'd rather not in Dallas traffic though. Nothing like having a bad day at work followed by over an hour of 3mph stop and go working a clutch.
