I have the Cooper Discoverer ATP II, special model for Discount Tire Company. As much as I am a fan of them and the cost, I'm not so impressed with their performance in the wet conditions. Can't help with the others, but if you see a lot of rain, then these are not for you.
Eeew, 30 miles of washboard, even on aired down 18" wheels sounds miserable. Can't remember if it was Gemini Bridges Road or Long Canyon Road that we had to do a couple miles of that, I think it was the latter. Definitely not fun and I remember being pretty miserable trying to not shake the...
I hear ya, we had a treetop level F1 tornado pass right over the house. Twisted the tops of our trees off and dropped them in the back yard. The noise was insane and I have never felt so out of control of my situation. I was a new dad at the time and it hit me hard. The realization that this...
Vehicles are designed for those winds to come from the front. Not the sides or from the rear. Last spring we had wind strong enough to bend metal fence poles and topple brick walls around here.
I have the Cooper Discoverer ATP II on mine. Those are the special AT tire for Discount Tire Stores. Not the apples to apples, but I've been reasonably happy with them. They are round and black, and the ride on them is nice. Can be a smidge sketchy on wet pavement under acceleration but have...
Depends also on which hoses you need. They are all expensive, but some are more than others, and some are harder to get at than others. My $1200 included the rear heater hose and the T stat, which I'd already purchased.
I did too. But there's a LOT of extra threads and once in there you realize it's not really going to affect anything. Been plenty of successful amputations so far. Once done, you realize it wasn't as big of a deal as you made it out to be. In the end, I got the exact look I wanted with the...
Good luck, those are the cheap hoses. Don't hold your breath as many here have been told that coolant hoses are not covered. If they cover it, throw a party.
I try not to get the huge phones anymore, it's just too much. My Pixel 8 Pro fits fine with a cord, even better with a 90 degree connector on the cord. I went to a wireless adapter too which has fixed all my dropout issues with the wired connectors in the car. I'm now plugged into a cigarette...
Of course, now you got me thinking. Wondering if there's some way we can we upgrade that wireless charger somehow? I've got a 3D printer and a soldering iron. Hmmm
F150 wheels work well, look good, and can sometimes be had for less money than aftermarket. You'll have to trim the rear axle a few threads in order to fit the center caps on.
Lots of pictures and info in here ->...
Oooh, looking forward to a full review of these. I'm running the ATP II's and like the look of those. Need to do some research, I wonder if they are more road worthy hence the name, even though they look a little more aggressive than the ATP II.
Tire size doesn't care about wheel size for the most part. Some vehicles like mine came stock with 285/45 R22 which are 32.1" tires. Popping up to 33" inch tires doesn't require anything at all. Lifts will level it out and make it look better or allow even bigger tires, but you don't need to...
Not that I've noticed it doesn't. Also, I don't notice the gap because I'm usually in the front seat. It also doesn't bother my teenager because he's always staring at his phone. :D
I'll never for the life of me understand why manufacturers have to put things into "Modes." Or if they do, why there's no custom mode. Let me have it accelerate like eco, shift like normal, but suspension like sport dang it.
Just to give you an idea of how experienced these guys are, I had to wait on my local dealership to clear a 3 week backlog of transmission rebuilds just so they could look at mine. 3 more weeks to get it rebuilt. Ford is making sure these dealership techs are very experienced with a nonstop...
Did you read the TSB? The issues fixed were design issues, such as the CDF drum, which "Should" be fixed. This was a mistake in the assembly process, something completely different and could happen at any time when you aren't focusing on quality.
You dread the thought of a dealership tech...
