I'm about to do something stupid

Didn't catch this earlier, but from this it looks like maybe you are going non-Max. I went that route and for the most part I almost regret it. When you see them side by side there isn't a whole lot of difference, and some of the reasons I didn't want the Max turned into non-issues. I will...

I'm about to do something stupid

I can't really speak to specifics as I have the smaller screen in my 2019, however I did have a 2024 F150 while the Expy was getting the transmission rebuild, and I couldn't wait to get my Expedition back, except for the screen, I did miss the big F150 screen when we turned it in. I love...

I'm about to do something stupid

Jury is still out on this one. Many of us have the upgraded part, but it's too soon to tell. Some have the upgraded part and problems have returned. About two years ago. I just passed 2 years of ownership on my 2019 and it had the phaser rattle when I bought it. I took it from one...

    2019 Successful Beach trip

That sounds amazing, and the weather should be getting about perfect. Post pics for sure. I hope that camper will be sitting in the middle of nowhere.

There's links included above. Now, where exactly do we apply it?

    2019 Successful Beach trip

You are located in a beautiful area of the country, one of the places I like to visit with my motorcycles. I grew up in Florida so the beach has always been a bit "Meh" to me, but I get that people enjoy it. I've got a 2019 limited 4x4 as well and I can tell you that you should also put Utah...

    Goodbye For Now

They will do research and find comparable vehicles listed for sale. Then they will take the three lowest priced ones and use them for their valuation of your vehicle. By asking for that particular report you can check and see if they indeed compare with your vehicle. In my particular case I...

    Goodbye For Now

Just do your homework and know the comparables and ask for the reports they are using. Lots of websites out there to walk you through it. Insurance companies are for profit and they do so by charging as much for their services as they can while paying out as little as possible. What they...

    Dealer Overfilled Oil

I'd really like to know the dealership procedure for the filter installation. Mine had an oil change as part of the "Gold Certified" part of my purchase. When I changed the oil, I was able to hang all my weight on the filter wrench dangling under the truck, and it still wouldn't budge.

2021 FX4 Tranny problems STILL after CDF fix

Well, considering that the older vehicles are being rebuilt with the new parts that should be the same ones in the 2024 models, and still having issues post rebuild... Guess we'll have to wait till more of the 2024 models have 30-50K on them to see.

2021 FX4 Tranny problems STILL after CDF fix

I still got a new CDF drum in the process with mine.

2021 FX4 Tranny problems STILL after CDF fix

It's highly likely when it did that, that a fault code was stored. I'd have the dealer check to see if anything is in there. I know when I took mine in for the rebuild, mine was full of fault codes. I'm having similar issues post rebuild and need to schedule time to take it by. It's also...

Help a girl out with tires and rims!

https://tiresize.com/calculator/ Looks like less than an inch taller than mine and same width, which I believe people have done without the readylift so you'd probably be good. Skim through this thread and you should be easily able to find someone with that setup...

    I figured it out!

And it's the best thing ever! I'm one of those guys who gets in the car and realizes I left something inside, so I have to run in while my wife waits on me. Sometimes it's for something she forgot. Nice in the Texas heat to leave the AC running while I go in. Stupid Ford timed that damn horn...

Wait, you can get that kind of fuel mileage with just 3.31 gears? I gotta get me some of that! :D

    Transmission service

You'll have to check some of the threads or ask folks that have had it done. I had planned on doing a transmission fluid change at 50K and getting that done at the same time. That can got kicked down the road with the full transmission rebuild I had to have done recently.

    Transmission service

Since the pan has to be dropped to change the fluid, and they'll possibly need to replace the crappy plastic one, you might get a PPE cover installed instead. Benefits include better cooling and a drain plug so you can easily do the fluid change yourself. It's something I'm planning on having...

Wiper recall - was 2019 included?

Yup, I would disable the auto wipers and see if the issue persists. Mine would drive me crazy in light rain by constantly changing speeds. Messed with a little OCD in me there. Another one of those automatic items I found wasn't any easier or better than just moving my fingers a smidge to...

To go with 18” or 20” wheels on 23 Limited Max

Yes, trimming is required for all the F150 wheels that I know of. Needs to be done to fit the centercap. I did a bunch of measuring and then hit it with the sawzall. It's some hard metal, took my time and used a couple of blades but it was easy enough work as long as the weather is...
