    high mileage for current job

Welcome. Your Expedition will handle the miles so long as you keep up with the maintenance. Unless you have evidence it's been done recently I suggest at this age and mileage you change every fluid in it. Transmission fluid and filter, coolant, brake fluid, transfer case and both...

BATTER POSITIVE (+) TERMINAL ISSUE (LOSE CONNECTION)

This is from RockAuto, I'm not sure if they will ship to the Philippines. However, it's $23 plus shipping. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4632822&cc=1427756&pt=2500&jsn=758 Here's the Ford part numbers. I found them at Amazon and eBay, but they are very costly. 2L1Z-14300-AA is...

    Rusted A pillar

Well I judged that foam wrong. It did catch fire from welding. It doesn't burn very well and simply blowing into the 1/8" or so opening from removing foam that had rusty metal in it put it out. The repairs to all 3 pillars are complete. The rocker has been trimmed to fit the B pillar...

    Rusted A pillar

I should not have been surprised, but once again I was. The C pillar which is the front of the wheel well was rusted due to the rear sunroof drain. There's a plastic bracket in there primarily held in by soft injected foam and the drain dumped water on that so the water had to soak through the...

    Rusted A pillar

I put the new rocker panel sheet metal up to the truck to mark the locations to start trimming it to fix. When I pulled it off I saw a flake of rusty metal. Turns out there is more foam, more rust and with the simple push of a screwdriver a new hole. So today I will start with removing the...

2003 Drivers seat, mirrors, pedals not working

Welcome. Sorry to hear about the 2014 FX4. Sorry I have no info on a potential bad splice. The seat trim and controls look identical to my 2004 Eddie Bauer so maybe they only changed the seat itself and not the base. So the wires for the power mirrors run through the driver seat. In fact...

    Rusted A pillar

Seems everywhere I look that I find this grey/black foam there's rust. Not sure if it was noise or to seal it off, but it's fairly soft and porous so it holds water. It is just barely flammable. With direct flame it will light, but the flame goes out as soon as the lighter is turned off. I...

    Rusted A pillar

Why is there injected foam between inner fender and firewall flanges? There's two flanges with spot welds. The outer one is two layers metal to metal. The inner one is three layers, the outer layer is for the rocker panel and has been cut away in the attached pic. It has a gap between the...

    Rusted A pillar

The A pillar has been cut out and is ready to be rebuilt, as is the B pillar bracket. In fact I thought I was done removing sheet metal until some foam at the rear wheel well caught my eye. I cut the foam off and there was rust under it. It's pretty minor, just surface rust in the seam where...

2004 E.B. Air ride compressor wont kick on

The calibration is the process of getting the module to relearn the height sensors. It sounds like the compressor might be faulty if it's getting hot, but not running. Sounds like it has a direct short inside.

2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Baur RWD (without Air suspension) KYB 341605 fitment issue

Your research checks out with what I see, KYB 341605 should fit. I can't tell from the picture why it doesn't fit. Is there a different # stamped on the strut housing? I'm wondering if possibly the struts you received were in a box that was labeled correctly, but contained the wrong strut.

    Rusted A pillar

Well I figured out the cause of this rust. The dang sunroof drain ends right above the bottom of the A pillar. Thanks Ford. So every time it rains this area gets wet, there was a little small gravel and some dirt in there so it stayed damp most of the time I imagine. Of course there's only a...

    Rusted A pillar

I decided to take a few days and repair the driver side rocker panel on my truck. The lower B pillar support had rusted similar to the passenger side so I figured it would be a fairly easy repair. I was shocked when I stuck my endoscope in the opening I had cut out to find the C pillar in...

13 years of ownership. Taken out by a Porsche owner

Glad everyone is okay. Such a shame to see that. The front end body work on these folds up like an empty soda can. I'm curious, do you know if the control arms bent/broke or the frame bent?

2004 E.B. Air ride compressor wont kick on

Is the air ride switch in the driver side rear panel turned on? There's also a module calibration that can be run with a high end scanner that might be required.

Engine won’t shut off with key removed after ac compressor change

Swapping the fuse panel is a good idea. I'd consider removing that rigged up wiring the fuse panel as well.

Engine won’t shut off with key removed after ac compressor change

You got some weird stuff going on. it sure will be interesting to get it figured out. Obviously to stay running you need to maintain fuel flow so it's related, but what's maintaining spark?

Here's the diagram for the 4wd vacuum harness. 3A785B is duplicated on the passenger side, just not shown in the diagram.

Engine won’t shut off with key removed after ac compressor change

I can't think of how the fuel level sender could do what you described. Maybe it's sending incorrect resistance. Mine is, sometimes it exceeds the maximum value and displays nothing. Based on your comment that your an aircraft electrician the service manual with wiring diagrams will be most...

Engine won’t shut off with key removed after ac compressor change

I really don't know, but I would check for any connectors that belt could have damaged or the associated wires. The crank sensor is close to the belt and the compressor, but there are several. The other thing I keep thinking is have you checked for any codes?

Squeaky front end suspension?????? 03 EXP 5.4l EB

Not gonna be able to identify it with certainty, but I suggest it is likely a ball joint or lesser chance a tie rod end. If it was the tie rod it would mostly happen when turning the steering wheel. Since it happens almost all the time a ball joint is more likely. It may be that the ball...

    2004 ford expedition need hose

There's no issue with the yellow coolant. that's what our Expedition's came with. Color does not provide an adequate assessment of coolant condition. It's a sealed system so once it starts to change color it's very likely due to corrosion or deterioration of some part of the system. I just...

    2003 EB suspension maintenance

I decided not to mess with the air suspension on my 2004, partially because I prefer traditional springs and I had grown tired of listening the air compressor run for 5 minutes at every start. Anyway, I lost load leveling of course, but I significantly improved ride quality and handling when I...

Engine won’t shut off with key removed after ac compressor change

Well I honestly have no idea, but there is a ground on the passenger side frame rail in that area. If it's a ground issue as S20Workstation4 suggested, that would be the one to check first.
