    RECALL #26C10 TRAILER MODULE REPROGRAMMING

OTA = Over The Air. Basically WiFi or cellular download. Check out the open recalls on the Ford App and see if it's there. If it shows up and later disappears, it may have done a self-update.

'18 Expedition Brake Torque Spec Confirmation

Some insane torque specs indeed on this truck. Those bolts are 258 lb.ft. (350 Nm). This is the upper limit of 1/2" drive torque wrenches as most top out at 250 lb.ft. or 350 Nm as spec'd. Also, the FSM also states that the bolts, and all other brake related bolts, are one time use (likely...

USB Port In Rear of Console - Solved

Sounds like you managed for the R&R of the panel for outlet access. Not sure if PN's are still needed to complete the job. For the 110v outlet, I believe this will work - GB5T19G247AA For the 18-21 USB (Type-A/Type-A) outlet - FB5Z19A495AA For the 22-24 USB (Type-A/Type-C) outlet -...

Tail stop lights on all time

Glad you figured it out. Can't be easy for you over there to get the truck serviced when it's a unique car. I know you've had to do some electrical modifications to get you car to comply with EURO regulations. Even you hitch must be somewhat difficult to go to a 13-pin standard that is used...

    Which

Go with the sticker hands down. This is a huge legal requirement during assembly. As a side note as someone who's worked AC, if you suspect a leak, take it to a shop and have them pull a vacuum on the system to determine if you're low and leaking. The system is properly sealed and shouldn't...

    Bilstein 5100 Rough Ride

Suspension is all subjective, what you are used to, and what expectations are. Are you used to American cars, and especially older cars from the 80's & 90's, where they wallowed over bumps and turns, this is definitely harder. If you have always been used to cars like our European counterparts...

ABS Behavior After Tire Upgrade (Increase)

Running 35's. No change in characteristics other than a little more braking force required due to the increased rotational mass. Previous owner of 4th & 5th gen 4Runners, both that were lifted with larger tires. Never had a problem with the braking system related to tire size and lift. They...

    Timberline conversion for Max

Exterior wise, it's possible to swap bumper panels without much of an issue. Mind you, new panels are not cheap plus the painting to match needed may run you close to $5K. Suspension can be can also be carried over, but you'd be best to go with a Bilstein or Eibach lift setup for a true...

Just wanted to praise AutoStop Eliminator. 5 minute install!

Not without it affecting the battery management system (BMS). Some have success, some have issues with a charging system error message. The Auto Start-Stop Eliminator deactivates the feature without any negatives.

Just wanted to praise AutoStop Eliminator. 5 minute install!

You're the only one. Seriously, it's a set it and forget it peace of mind. I absolutely detest the feature in any car I drive and not having to remember to hit it when I get in or knowing my wife isn't driving with the feature on makes it worth it to me.

    New engine.

All new engines are built and filled from the factory with full synthetic oil these days. Nobody is filling it up with conventional and swapping after an initial turnover. You'll be fine. Change it after about 1000 miles for peace of mind. Then 5K at most after that.

LEDs for High Beam/Low Beam/Fog Lights

Don't have it in front of me right now, but as I recall, the OM is wrong with the bulb PN's. I had to take all my bulbs out and make my own cheat sheet. Halogen Headlight Housings: LOW - 9005 HIGH - H9 HALOGEN FOG - H8 FRONT TURN - 7444NA Halogen Tails: BRAKE/TURN SIGNAL - 3057 (Replacement...

This is exactly what I used. https://jbaoffroad.com/jba-upper-control-arms-for-ford-f150-2004-2020 I have no reason to believe that they have changed up through MY24. I would even venture to say that the 5th gens are the same as well.

    Adding 4H Switch (18-21)

I'm curious - and I haven't physically looked at the harnesses yet - if it's possible to repin the plugs? Move the signal wire for the locker from the drive mode switch to the gear selector? I'm not sure if my logic is sound, but it seems the wire could been moved to a different harness wye.

    Adding 4H Switch (18-21)

I just found an FX4 for sale, and this was the setup. No different than what I have with my HD Tow (2-speed transfer) with eLSD. At this point, I don't see why anything won't work as long as the harness matches up and the signals get to the same endpoint at the control module.

    B&M deep transmission pan

I have found sometimes that if I am using Chrome, it can be an issue, and if I switch to MS Edge it'll work. Not sure if that's your case.

    Adding 4H Switch (18-21)

It's an expensive endeavor, but I'm tempted to try the transmission selector with the eLSD feature. If I were to come across a reasonable junkyard find, I'd be all over it. On the 2WD models that lack the selector switch found on the 4WD models, the mode selection is indicated by the blank...

Are WeatherTech's Cargo liners any good?

I have the WT cargo mat. Solid product. However, I didn't like that I couldn't use it when the third row is up, so I went with the Ford folding cargo mat setup. I still use the WT mat when I need to fold the 2nd row and cover those seat backs as well to prevent damage with whatever cargo may...

    Adding 4H Switch (18-21)

I'm surprised his switch has 4L without the rear locker. I had originally thought that the 4L option was only available in conjunction with the HD tow or FX4 package which would have also included the rear locker. That said, he also has the column shifter in his truck, so I wonder if he also...
