must be a bad picture angle or something because both bottom portions on both sets look to be convex to me.

    Some Rear Wiper Options

Yes the arm is on there pretty good. I used a cat claw and wiggled it of. Made a heck of a pop when it finally released.

    proper inflation?

When I bumped up my tire size and went to E rated tires I tested out a few pressures. Offroad shop that mounted the tires suggested 50psi and that was too much. I then tried 40 psi and it was much to squishy on the twisty country roads, I have settled on 45psi on road and for the trails around...

    Starter?

What brand battery? Around here 930CCA was the highest I could find.

How often do you swap out your brake rotors when doing pads?

Run your fingernail across an unturned rotor and run your fingernail across a freshly turned rotor. On top of that brake pads bed with rotors junk gets between the two an contaminants and materials get embedded in the rotor so starting fresh is a good thing. You also loose your rust lip. Is it...

How often do you swap out your brake rotors when doing pads?

If that was the case I would not bother either. Around here it is $10 a rotor and never waited longer than an hour. I pull the brakes, drop them off, grab lunch, pick them up and slap everything back together. I like starting as fresh as possible. $20 while I eat lunch to do that is well worth...

    Starter?

Did you have it towed home? Sometimes the teeth just get stuck in a bad spot. Smack on the starter and it will fire right up. If you had it towed the jarring of the ride could have freed it up. But also some teeth could be starting to go bad getting you to that spot. I’d pull the starter check...

How often do you swap out your brake rotors when doing pads?

Never had an issue getting 2 turns out of them. Over the years have used PBR, Brembo, Bosch, MotorCraft, and NAPA Premium. Because you know for sure you are smooth as can be and free of contaminants. Considering you can generally get 2 turns out of a good rotor. That’ll take one at least 100k...

Update on TPMS (Tire pressure monitor sensors, or system) bypass. .......Success!

The old pipe bomb method. Why such a large pipe? Most I have seen use a much smaller pipe and put it up in the spare tire.

How often do you swap out your brake rotors when doing pads?

I always at least have the rotors turned. $20 a pair is a no brainer to start fresh. If they aren’t thick enough to be turned they get replaced. Make sure to sand the rust off the hub face and torque lug nuts properly.

    Lifted Running 35"

Anything 2” and above (not using a spacer) you will need UCAs. The ICON kits says you don’t need them I would still run them. Granted I have a 16 but I am up 2” on F150 Bilstein 5100s and absolutely need UCAs. I have Fox 2.0s and BDS UCAs sitting in the garage waiting to get a chance to install...

    Borla Touring

We are missing 2 cylinders for the exhaust to sound good. I am a big fan of these motors and their capabilities. My only complaint is inherent due to it being a V6. Any way you try to open up the exhaust (which to a point) is a very good thing for making more power, they sound like complete and...

    Hitch mount/Roof cargo carriers

I have used a roof top carrier for years now and as long as you have it as far back as possible with no over hang over the front windshield you’ll have no clue it is there. I have had it on an Explorer, Highlander, Sienna, and Expedition and lost no noticeable mpg. They hold lots of stuff and...

Is it March 14th yet ??

TireRack is having a HUGE sale on Hawk Brakes! I just bought them for our Suburban. After tons of asking it would seem that Hawk is the only brake company left that is strictly American. Their rotor blanks come from Canada and not China like Baer and other companies that claim to be made in...

    Aftermarket Shocks

You can run F150 Fox 2.0s on the front but will have to run Bilsteins on the rear or a spacer with some other shock if you want 2” of lift. If you want all 4 to match you’ll have to spend the big coin in ICONS. Unless you are good with under 2” of lift from the Bilsteins. Granted I have a ‘16...

Best RIM Size Selection for Off Road

There is a reason Raptors come with 17” wheels. Go with the 18s you will be quite happy in both on road and off road situations. I was going to step down to 17s but did not feel like buying new rims. I do 90% pavement and gravel lanes but do odd road and the 18s have caused no issue.

    Tom’s 2014 XLT 4X4

Not sure if the earlier ones are the same but my 16 you can disable traction control by holding it in for 5 seconds. Unfortunately it automatically comes back on at 35mph. I have read but not tested that if you hold it for 5 seconds above 35mph it will stay off until the button is pressed again.

I have drive a vehicular mullet.

Nice setup there! Of my opinion if there is going to be anything off pavement done I go with 18” wheels (or smaller dependent upon the vehicle) certainly with E rated Falken Wildpeak AT3s They are the smoothest and quietest off road tires I have come across. They are extremely formidable in mud...

Dorman 42651 Wiper Arm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010DPB00/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_UjlxsM1QMY77Y Pair it with any standard 17” blade and you are golden. The arm and a blade are cheaper than the dealer wanted for that stupid rear blade they put on there.
