The issue is traction if the ramp gets wet and it is a steep ramp. I’ve had it happen when I had to have someone hook a strap to my truck to help pull me. More HP does not help!
Here is a counterpoint to your point. Traction control kicks in when a tire starts to spin. If LSD keeps or reduces a tire from spinning then traction control does not intervene, or at least not as much, putting more power to the ground. Much more so if one side is on dry ground and the other...
Ours always came on at what it was when we turned it off. I think what you are referring to is a setting that can be changed. Mine is not with me now but I will check later.
We hated that too. It finally stopped doing it after an over the air update a couple of months ago. BTW, ours was not a Car Play or iPhone issue as we never Car Play.
I wish I had what you have. I have the bigger on with 4A and have had lots of glitches. I cant help you, but at one time mine would randomly come on when i start the vehicle on a different channel, sometimes a channel we have never listened to.
Ive also had it come on in 90 degree heat with...
Just to clarify, what size screen so you have? 4 is the smaller screen and still has buttons, 4A is the big screen that eliminates virtually all buttons.
I am not where i can look at ours right now, but it seems like we should not have to look up our VIN, we can just look at the dash and see if we have the label. Anyone able to post a picture of theirs so we know where and what to look for? It seems to me that they are on the visor, right?
This is so perplexing. So we would be under warranty, but if they cant fix it there is no way to enforce the warranty other than to file a lawsuit which Ford attorneys would have us tied up so long in getting the suit heard in court that it would be worthless. And we would be out a boatload of...
Can you clarify….a loaner car is not a rental car and I have never been offered a policy by a dealer covering a loaner vehicle. But I do know that the dealer requests a copy of our proof of insurance.
I believe you. I have been using only full synthetic in everything (cars, motorcycles and boats) for several decades. My Ford dealer started by quoting me on a blend. I asked if it was full synthetic and told him thats what i wanted. That was $118. I think the blend was somewhere around $30...
At my local Ford dealer the express service is $118. Includes rotating tires and visual check of brakes and stuff like that. And yes, its full synthetic.
I understand what you are saying, but i think even most people who live in big cities are not on congested streets getting 11 mpg most of the time. I lived in the Houston suburbs for 44 years and got decent mileage because getting anywhere around town included some amount of freeway driving...
First of all, i do not like what I am seeing on the 2025. None of the changes effect the actual driving experience. I hate the new dash and dislike the new front and rear. If I had to buy a new one like you are, I would go for the big savings. If there were not big savings I would consider...
It makes perfect sense. Normal mode allows it to shift into higher gears. Tow mode generally limits it to 8th gear most of the time on ours. It does that to take the stress off both the transmission and the engine.
Over the years before “drive modes” the owners manuals have recommended not...
I have a camera system on my Travel Trailer. It is small, is hard to see with sunglasses on and just in general it is far from ideal. Plus I have wires hanging down while in use.
Yes, I’m sure there are better units and ways to mount it. But the bottom line is that extendable mirrors like...
