    Hey, to an old minerals exploration geologist that romped around the mountains in F-150s and expeditions for 30+ years, the raptor engine in the expy is a performer!!! It doesn't take much to excite us!

    It's a matter of choice. The debate will continue to go on. I just figure since I have a performance engine, I should put the best fuel available to achieve that performance. It does make a difference. Here is a question to the expy community; -Since I live and operate the vehicle at altitude...

The MY 22s and beyond have many of the kinks worked out of them so you will just have to deal with the electronics of the 23/24s.     My 2023 SPP didn't come with a cover so I got a "Raptor" one that fits perfectly. Correct, no one will see it but when I open the engine bay, it looks great. Pure vanity, totally cosmetic, but it is YOUR truck!!

    Also, Weathertech mud/splash guards will keep dirt off the running boards and quarter panels. I also found an organizer for the huge space in the center console that works very well on eBay.

    Winter cold makes sense in having poorer fuel economy. Any liquid has a lower volatility as its temperature decreases. I just read that most refiners blend winter gas with butane to increase the volatility for faster cold temperatures ignition.

    As every winter, I have noticed a marked decrease in mpg now that winter gas blend is at the pumps. When brand new and with mostly interstate driving this last summer, The expy was getting over 20 mpg with 91+ oct. gas. Now, mostly with the same driving conditions, I have been getting low 18s...

    I may be old fashioned, but I have been told many times..."RTFM"! In these modern times, it is SOO easy to get information about anything. Not so many years ago, before internet, we had libraries and consultants. And did much experimentation!

    Maybe I am missing something, but if you have the SPP, you have the 440hp Raptor engine and sport tuned suspension (CCD). I have found this to be very adequate for everything! What does the extra tune do and is it really worth it with the SPP engine?

    My '23 limited stealth has been perfect so far with 15k miles. The '23s should have most of the earlier problems worked out, but obviously not all. Consult your lemon laws and find a lawyer to back you up. Keep all documentation. And good luck.
