So I cannot speak for Ford, but I’m in the trucking business and deal with large amounts of equipment. We have roughly 20,000 tractors with three OEM’s. And those warranty programs are predicated on idle percentages and fuel mileages in addition to total miles. All that to say at least in that...
Here’s what seemed to trigger it for me. I had on auto updates and wifi. But after reading on this forum I ALSO turned on scheduled updates to run every night at 2am. I don’t know if it was coincidence or what but mine downloaded over the air the next morning in my work parking lot. I had...
I just got the update this morning. Weird thing is I park connected to wifi every day, but it updated over the air in the parking lot at work this morning.
Vents are extremely easy to replace. They just twist and come out like an IKEA cam lock. They are less than $20 online. Dealer price was $50. I got mine covered by warranty.
I had the reprogram done to mine after having the loud static. They told me it only works about 60% of the time and the other 40% they have to replace the amplifier. It hasn’t happened since though so that’s good. We will see, it’s only been about 6 weeks.
I haven’t had any issues with mine. Nearly 16k miles. Getting nice even wear, no traction issues, no road noise complaints. Did great in the snow and ice last winter. People have strong opinions but I didn’t experience the flat spots or balancing issues that have given a
Bad taste...
The real question is why the hell did Ford send us all that announcement if it was going to be a long roll out? Why get us all excited for no reason? Whoever makes their comm’s decisions (like the email last year that was like; we know you’ve been waiting a long time, and….. nothing really...
I know there was a thread about seats in April, but this is a little different. The other day when I was vacuuming my 2022, I noticed that the stitching was coming apart on the base of the front passenger seat. It almost looked like it either wasn’t stitched or it was glued or I have no idea...
Similar to others, my first oil change I tried the pan and it made a mess. The second go round I used some foil and created my own tray to get it going where I wanted it. On the bright side the plastic pan did provide a good support to use for that process and didn’t have to wipe anything up.
I never found anything out about it. It is much less frequent now but still get it occasionally when I pull a long hill with the boat and have to have the RPM’s above 3.5K for a little bit. It’s sure weird.
I can’t speak to all of your question, but I put the J&L on at about 8k miles ago on my 2022 and I bet it hasn’t caught even two ounces on the “dirty side”. I can’t image the clean side is going to get much at all. I drive like an old man though and try to mostly stay out of the boost so I...
I couldn't find this anywhere, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a trick to keep the third row AC vent open? My daughter's vent blows closed any time the fan is above about the 4 setting. The louvers are loose and catch the air and blow closed. Obviously that's the opposite of what you...
I am really hoping that someone on here figures this out. I think this is one of the bigger pains of the 15 inch screen is dealing with the back temperature. When my kids get old enough to handle the responsibility and I can unlock it, things may be different.
One thing I really like about the built in Navbis the integration with the dash for lane level directions. The Ford Nav is great for this and Apple Maps also uses it.
I bought the same thing in Fumoto for my 22. Just been waiting for the next oil change to put it on. I still am not sure what to do about the felt “shield” thing though. I wish I could run something to the edge of that so I didn’t even have to mess with it.
Maybe I’m in the minority here but I have the big screen and I really like it. But I didn’t come from a previous generation Expy. If they would just add a one touch camera button I would be happy. That’s the only thing I find annoying. I leave the temp on auto fan and you can use voice...
