Fords Expi page now shows the 26…still no configurator.
Here’s a picture of my 26 Tremor in the new “marsh grey” color option (the one that replaced “wild green”):
It popped up on my order tracker this morning.
My VIN....it ends in A00711.
My understanding is that the KY plant assigns them sequentially. (I am sure someone will correct me if I was given bad info.)
Will it ACTUALLY be the 711th (versus 695th or 720th)? Maybe not. But it'll be really close.
This is actually the first week of scheduled...
Build week for my '26! And it looks to be on schedule. Ford confirmed that I am still set to go into production this week and my window sticker dropped this morning. Mine will be the 711'th 2026 to roll off the line.
I'm pumped.
I have a 26 on order. It has the black liftgate. I don’t like it.
But THAT’S not enough of a reason not to buy an otherwise great vehicle.
I’m certainly not going to buy a different vehicle that is inferior just because the Expi has a black liftgate. I’ve never owned a vehicle that I liked...
My maintenance list is similar to yours....and I currently have a CEL on due to at least one O2 sensor.
That said, while mine looks pretty mint (a couple scuffs here and there), after 100k miles I know I am on borrowed time....so that's why my new '26 Tremor is being built the week of 11/17!
I've been noticing the same thing...
I was an early adopter of the 4th gen (I got my '18 in early Feb of '18) and this forum was FULL of people, including myself, complaining about and looking for solutions to myriad problems. Some were significant, some were not, but there certianly were a LOT...
As soon as you even lightly brush the pad in the wheel, a representation of the entire pad appears on the big screen in front of you. By looking at that screen you can see what all the “buttons” on the steering wheel pad do.
I honestly find it better as you never have to drop your eyes to the...

If that’s behind an Apple and/or WSJ paywall…
A fire at a critical aluminum supplier a couple weeks ago has caused Ford to put production of all vehicles built at their Kentucky plant on hold. This includes the Expi and the Navi. The downtime is only...
Still no update (as far as I can tell) regarding what BC version will be shipped with the 2026's...BUT...they have updated the BC page and the 2026 Explorer is shipping with 1.5. The 2026 Expi is still not listed, so I still have hope...
The Long McArthur video said the configurator wouldn’t be up on the ford website until November.
(that video screams AI to me…they haven’t rolled any 26’s off the line yet, so no one is going to have one yet…it’s not like before a completely new model, there won’t be any pre-production mules...
Good take here.
I will say, though, don't look at the 5th gen dash and immediately say "eww, no, I'm out". Because I did that. I had completely written off the 5th gen because of the squircle steering wheel and weird dash and had ordered a different vehicle. But then I actually lived with a...
Just got an update that my '26 Tremor build is scheduled for the week of 11/17, which is the first week of the 26's.
The Long McArthur guy also noted that the 24" wheels for the Platinum Ultimate WILL BE available for that build date...for those interested...
Your 2017 is a 3rd Gen.
2018-2024 is the 4th gen and is a competely different vehicle than what you have now and will offer significantly different features than what you are used to. The 2018 was the first major redesign of the expi since 2007 and was completely different inside and out. So...
Apple Maps works really well; the top screen gives you your full route overview and the lower screen gives you the close-up, turn-by-turn...or you can swap them if that's your jam.
Tremor in Marsh Gray.
Lifetime Connectivity and Lifetime BlueCruise.
And that’s it. They made the tremor pretty easy…kinda the way the old Land Cruiser used to be…pick your color and leave the rest to us.
I was hoping to see the 1.5, oh well. I went ahead and ordered a 26 anyway. I’ll just hope it ships with the 1.5.
I’m sad to see the Wild Green color go, but after owning the first MY of the 4th gen I really didn’t want to go that route again. Marsh Gray it is. Plus I’ll be the device...
You’ll want to check me, but I’m 99% sure the extended warranty kicks in on the “in-service date” of the vehicle, regardless of when you buy the plan. (Look at the red text in the screenshot I posted above.)
It's been a while since I have been on here so I assume it has been covered before, but in case it's been a minute...
Your best bet is to buy from a dealership that sells them online. The plans are not dealer specific so you don't have to buy from your dealership; it's tied to your VIN and any...
