I will be adding wire loop 3rd row seats

Mine is like this as well; no touching. And even if it did touch, the metal bar is fairly smooth and it’s not as though I’m putting my seats up and down 14 times a day. If I own my vehicle for 7 years, and move the seats up and down once a week (which is still a lot)l I can’t imagine 728...

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

But the shock leak is not a problem that affects a vehicle with CCD. It’s only the standard suspension setup. But I am sorry you’re affected, that sucks.

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

What? The 2020 is actually rated for worse mpg than the 2018 or 2019 (trim dependent). And yes, I know those are pics of an Explorer on the 2020, its a glitch on the EPA website.

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

I have an 18 and have had some of the gremlins. Mirror issue (fixed with a software update), 4wd hub (fixed with a quick warranty visit), and that’s it. I am yet to learn of an issue for which we have not identified both the problem and a pretty quick solution.

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

How are you going to pay $44k to be the first owner of a vehicle that stickers for $74k? If you can work that deal, I’ll pay you to fly to me and negotiate my next car purchase.

Advice for possible purchase of '18 Exped. Platinum

I’m...really confused here. A 2018 Platinum started at $74k, give or take. The Blue Book value today on a 2018 with 24k miles is $49k, give or take. And that’s assuming it doesn’t have HD tow, 4x4, or rear seat entertainment, and it’s not a Max, all of which would increase the Blue Book value...

1 like and 1 Dislike about your Expedition?

Haha, I do not know. But as far as I know from other Fords I’ve owned, that’s just not something Ford does with their 3 zone climate control. I just set it on 70 and leave it. My kids seem fine with that and any adults can change it when they’re back there if they’d like.

1 like and 1 Dislike about your Expedition?

Not if it’s like the Expis...no option to sync the front and rear.

Where to get a very good deal on Extended Warranty

I agree with you! But no, Ford does not generally provide a loaner for a warranty repair. Or an oil change. Or anything. It’s a dealer-by-dealer thing. But when I go in, for anything, warranty or otherwise, I say I need a loaner and I have PremiumCare. And they say “ok, because you have...

Where to get a very good deal on Extended Warranty

There are benefits to the ESPs (at least the PremiumCare) during the factory warranty, I’m thinking specifically a loaner/rental. There are others but I can’t think of them right now. That may be of less use for a Navi if Lincoln always provides loaners, but Ford does NOT. So yes, the WARRANTY...

    2019 XLT 202A FX4 or Limited 300A

I have about 30k miles on my Platinum after 2+ years. My sunroof is rock solid (so far) and I open/close it every couple of days because my wife doesn't like it...so it's not as though it doesn't get used. Is it a common point of failure? Sure. Is it a reason to walk away from an otherwise...

    Towing Capacities

Curb weight of a GLS is 5700lbs. Curb weight of an Expi is 5368/5623 (2wd/4wd) for the shorty and 5534/5794 for the Max. The GLS is a direct competitor with the Expi, they are the same class. But the GLS is heavier than the Expi in almost all but the much larger Max with 4x4 (the Max is...

Intelligent Access and Auto Start-Stop Fails

When you open the drivers door? That’s the fuel pump pre-charging the system. It only happens after it’s been sitting for several hours and shaves a half second off the start up time when you press the START button. If it’s doing it all by itself with no input from you, i.e. opening the drivers...
