Don’t bother changing the exhaust on a V6, they all sound like garbage. It’s the biggest thing I miss about my Grand Cherokee. I had the Hemi and a Corsa exhaust. It sounded nasty good. Uncork a V6 and they just get annoying and sound terrible.
Take it somewhere else. They didn’t finish the job. I see based on your reply it works when the car isn’t running but stops working when it is running. This is EXACTLY what my front camera did after the body shop installed a new one. They called some mobile tech company out and they connected...
It’s not a loose wire. They need to do some sort of calibration. I had the same issue with the front camera after replacement.
Notice the back up view works, just not the 360. It’s the same camera. So the camera is working, but whatever software wizardry they use to create the 360 view...
They didn’t do something right. They need to program/train/something with the camera. I had the same issue with the front after I hit a deer. The front grill got replaced, and the camera was part of that. When the vehicle wasn’t running the front camera worked, but as soon as I started it up...
2019 Expedition Max Platinum is my DD...well, when I’m home (40 flights in the last 12 weeks) and when I actually leave the house. I work out of a home office even before the beer virus. I like it a lot. It some areas it blows my previous DD a Grand Cherokee Overland Summit away (sheer space...
I believe it has to be painted to match. I looked into it because at less than 1K miles some jerk scratched mine backing into a spot (and I parked away from everyone next to an “island” so I could only have a car on one side of me). I wanted to replace it if it was as simple as buying another...
We bought a leftover 2019 Max Platinum with HD tow and buckets in November last year. List was $85K and some change and dealer had it marked down to $78K plus there were several thousand in Ford incentives. If memory serves is was about $16K off in all. We also got 0% for 72 months. I...
It’s got some better CarPlay integration that I liked; before I think I was forced to use Apple Maps but can use google maps now, for example. I do prefer the UI to the old one as well. Others say it’s faster as well but I haven’t noticed anything ground breaking personally. Overall it’s a...
I always buy the highest trim level available and all the options for a daily driver. I see a lot of people (and I was one myself) that end up wanting options/features available on a higher trim level after the fact and try to add them, only to find the cost doesn’t make sense. So I would...
I finally pulled the trigger on updating to Sync 3.4 after having a new Fusion rental car last week.
I’m waiting to see if 5 Star has a Black Friday special again this year and I may go for a tune. Mostly just want to change the shift points. I hate the 3-5 skip shift still, and I’d rather...
Yeah, found the FordPass app on the car but it didn't show anything. I removed my vehicle from FordPass, added it again, sent a new request and....nothing. Started the car and the request came back in...so, all good it appears.
Thanks, just got done doing the update. Piece of cake. With maps and everything it was done in 28 minutes.
I rebooted twice, did a master reset, and rebooted twice again for good measure. The only snafu now is in the FordPass app I got a little too quick and sent a request to pair my phone...
Thanks for the feedback, I just let the updater utility do its thing. I'll hold off for a bit but I didn't get any errors or issues during the build process.
One other thing that I just thought of...ambient lighting and color selection. Will the 3.4 update eliminate this or is this capability...
I posted quite some time ago and never did end up updating. Had a Fusion as a rental this week and liked 3.4 so figured I’d take the plunge. I noticed there are new update tools now and instructions but none of them appear to apply to my situation. I have 3.0 19205 and the instructions...
It’s only $150 for a JLT catch can setup, but it only is for the passenger side. Isn’t there a driver side PCV system that would be still feeding the intake? Making the JLT setup partially useless? Why just one side and not the other?
i have an oil analysis from my first 5K miles, haven’t hit 10K yet. Someone want to donate a JLT can (lol) I’d be happy to do analysis after my 10K change!
Infiniti is junk nowadays. We had a M45x Premium and loved it. Transmission went at 140K and we scrapped the car. It wasn’t worth fixing. It wasn’t even 10 years old, and MSRP was $70K. The QX80 uses the same transmission. I guess they are a unique design that makes rebuilds a bit more...
ALWAYS buy the highest trim level with the most options. That’s my MO. I don’t ever want to have buyers remorse over a missed option I might want. Sure, I spend more up front but I’m not wishing I had something I don’t after having spent 90% of what the fully optioned vehicle costs anyway.
I feel your pain. I had a deer push the active shutters and just about everything else in the left front into my condenser. Insurance paid for mine though. Along with the other $13,000.
I use that mirror all the time, love it other than it would be nice if it was more secure. Like maybe it locked into position and needed to depress a tab to release it.
Ditto for SXM. I’ve had it for nearly 20 years, starting with XM, then switching to Sirius. Back in the early 2000’s it was...
For anyone that is interested in the total bill for everything, looks like it ended up being $14,284.79! That includes $570 of towing though. It was towed off the road to a lot, then I had to get it 105 miles back home from Cadillac, MI to Hudsonville, MI.
I have actually never heard of this. Probably because MI is the only state that you can't go after the at-fault party for diminished value. I had to look it up just now...
I hit a deer...so I would be making a claim against my own auto insurance company. I don't even think this is allowed...
Camera problem solved. The new grill came with a new camera. Since whatever module interacts with the camera detected a new one it deactivated the camera on the 360 view until it was calibrated/programmed to the vehicle. Kinda what I suspected based on the behavior in that it would work...
