Ethanol free has 'more gasoline content'. Gasoline has more energy content. Most stations with E0 are 90 or 91 octane. In the north, were it's cold half the year, motors don't run better(they run rich). Ethanol absorbs moisture. Compressed air gets hot(aka turbo boost)also absorbs moisture...
He said 10% increase on 91/0% ethanol, plus better towing. The Ecoboost can use E10, that's 10% max, not E85. I would say 'ethanol is bad for turbos', according to Ford engineers. But, hey what do they know...
If you wait 100K to, 'do maintenance', then post a question on what 'What should I do'. If you gave a rip you realize doing maintenance, is kind of important. You obvious read the 100K spark plug interval. Why wait until it actually turns 100k? That is maximum recommendation. The owners manual...
On the East Coast gasoline is pumped from the Houston refinery up(north). I think it's called the patriot pipeline. All gas in my area(western NY) comes through that pipe. Do you really think there is a difference in gas, when they all use the same source.
I can give you a few places to check. The sunroof drain may be clogged and overflowing, Drivers door seal, cowl seal panel, under the wipers and the windsheild.
Stay with OEM type. Those cheapo fake, projector lamps, usually are not as bright and blind on coming traffic. I bought a pair of new OEM(included bulbs) on EBAY for under $40. They look and work great.
A crate 7.3l is over $11K plus labor to install/modify. The new 10sp is also almost $5k and much longer. No one in there right mind would sink $15K-$20K into a 2013.
OK...What is CPPS? ', 'used to be a bucket of bolts in washing machine? 'letting off the juice(electricity)backing up an incline...huh? , 'noticed they OF'd it?, 'tried to talk to the navigator'...wtf?, unmating(not a word) the drive train or rocket surgery(what the hell is that?). I guess...
Why do you think they added port injection in 2017? Other manufactures encountered the same problem. BMW I hear is a nightmare, with direct injection. I was told this prior to buying a 2015. It was left unsold until late 2016.The salesman actually told me to wait until the 2017's came out. I...
Bad plugs will have hard starts and poor performance, but the have to be basically shot. I would try spraying the throttle body. They get build up with gunk and starve the engine for air at idle.
2015-2016 have carbon build up issues. There is no easy/cheap fix for it and it triggers the CEL. Removing the heads is required. Don't walk away...run
I ran into the same problem with my 2011 Mustang. I ordered the key/fob from Ebay, It did not program as a 3rd key. I found a different one listed as 'Ford CWTWB1U793 80bit chip SA blank key/fob(4 button)'. It was about $10 on EBAY and worked. It was cut at my local hardware store and I...
In 2003, I leased a Chevy, Monte Carlo. I used my supplier discount, which is basically a no haggle price. I was quoted a monthly price of $197/24months with $1800 down for tax and fees. Upon delivery, while signing paper work, noticed my monthly payment was $203.44. I was told the extra $6, was...
Ford use a resonator near the tail pipe. It takes the crackle and harshness out of the exhaust. Check if it's missing. I have read may post in this forum, of owners removing them. They either hate how they look or are trying to hot rod and tune it for more power.
The $90K Jeep Trackhawk(fastest SUV on the planet) has the supercharged 707hp "Hellcat' engine, AWD with launch control. It does 0-60 in 3.4 sec. A tuned stock Explorer is a .6 sec behind. I love to see that.
Can the Eco Boost run E85(or Explorer). The 5.0l Mustang doesn't. I don't think the Shelby can run it. Corvette and Dodge Hemi don't. Strange, if it makes more power. Edmunds did a test of E85 and declare it's a total failure on almost every level.
