Both. ‘Comfort’ is part of ‘features’... maybe I’m over thinking this.

This forum is talking me out of buying

There are drawbacks to having the flashy fancy ‘rich guy’ car but you can avoid most those places. The pros far outweigh any cons. We got two in car seats so the destructive kid factor is on my mind but so far so good...I don’t think we’ve reach the maximum property damage ages yet though.

    Fix swirl marks

Of course you can. Idk about charging more for grime but if you have severe paint damage or swirling I’m sure there is more work which would warrant a higher cost. My vehicle was brand new, literally came off assembly line 4 weeks prior and I had taken delivery 10 days prior and it had paint...

    Fix swirl marks

I thought about doing the Xpel but they didn’t have the templates for my vehicle when I took it in initially so I passed. Last year on the annual refresh for the coating my detailer said it was in better shape than he expected, it’s parked in the garage and it spends very little time in the...

    Fix swirl marks

Honestly, it has been the best money I’ve spent on this vehicle. It makes an insane difference when washing, nothing sticks to the paint. Bugs and mud come off with little to no effort and the water beading is crazy. It wasn’t cheap, I think with the full detail, paint correction, interior...

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

I agree completely about the dedicated AT vehicle, I considered the new defender for about 10 seconds until I recalled their maintenance and reliability reputation. We got the Navigator mainly for day to day and road trips but we do a fair amount of forest service road driving and now with a...

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

@sjwhiteley mentioned the difference in offsets on the stock vs raptor wheels... I wonder if that would take the place of the spacers. I’d be willing to take a chance on the 32.7 inch circumference... looks like I have some more homework to do before buying. Thanks for the info!

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

I saw this on another post which sent me down this rabbit hole to begin with. I really don’t want to lift but based on this shopped image it does look good. I just don’t want to be married to the tires... I’d get a more off road dedicated vehicle instead.

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

Thanks for this info, i remember reading this fact on here before but it slipped my mind. It seems like a real easy solution may not be at hand but I’m still looking.

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

Thanks for the CL link, looking locally is far cheaper but they also all have the stock tires that won’t fit without rubbing. I could try and trade them in when getting a different size. Based on the two other comments before yours my hopes of these being a real easy alternative isn’t totally...

    Anyone using 17” wheels?

Ok, I’m looking for Raptor wheels on eBay and there are a fair amount on there. Those in the know, can you verify the following statements as true or false? 1. I can run these without a lift. 2 Looks like they are the same width as what stock on my Navigator, 8.5 inches, however the rears won’t...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

When it comes to stuff like this I usually go big and then ride it as long as I can. As mentioned above, I’m still shooting a 15 year old body but it’s getting time to move up. When I bought it it was out of my price range but I justified it based on longevity of use. I couldn’t afford full...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

I have camera envy...I’m still running my 40D. I want to go full frame so bad but my body runs like new and has proven to be nearly indestructible.

I paid for paint correction and ceramic coating for mine at less than 100 miles.. I just don’t have the patience or time to do the amount of work required on a vehicle this large. Mine is ingot silver so it won’t show imperfections nearly as bad as black will.

    Not on the Navigator?

Black Label has black badging... Black lettering on the rear and the side badges are black lettering as well. They have slightly different wheels. Other than that there are no exterior differences.

    Not on the Navigator?

The service at Lincoln is on another planet when compared to what I’ve seen on here about Ford. It’s all part of that higher sticker price and, in my opinion, it’s worth it.

    Not on the Navigator?

The interior in the Navigator was the determining factor in our purchase over the Expy. As for the ‘stupid levels of money’, when we bought our loaded Reserve it was only 10k or so more than the loaded out Platinum Expy. Over the long term it was a no brainer, especially given the fact that...

    Not on the Navigator?

I concur, at this cost of entry the instrument cluster should dazzle. The current Navigator has an almost minimalist approach to the instrumentation.

Anyone have a radar detector and/or jammer - how is it mounted?

I’ve mine ping ‘Laser’ from time to time but it’s rare. I feel better about keeping my old, but reliable, escort.

Anyone have a radar detector and/or jammer - how is it mounted?

Good question. I still run the 9500i and I’m too cheap to pony up for a new model if the one I have gets the job done. I will say that the mount mine uses is garbage but it works.
