I wish they had put the park brake switch on the center console near the shifter (in the expedition). I think it's so silly to have to reach down every time for the park brake (which i use every time i park / driveway is on a grade)
well i can say driving in normal, that it has kicked in at a stopsign. cant tell me turning the engine off and back on in the space of about 2 seconds is saving any gas or doing anything to prolong the life of the engine. It's also really disconcerting when you cant turn the steering wheel...
I had the same question when i started looking into it. The only way to do what you want is to hard wire a switch into the back of the auto stop switch (other forums cover how to short the switch with a little wire.. basically you install a second switch on that wire, which allows you to turn...
it was talked about somewhere earlier in the thread too, i dont recall exactly where, and it's a lot to search through. He resolved by changing the value between 9 and 8. I guess that "turn signal always on until you turn it off" is a feature somewhere in the world, although i can't imagine why.
the single hex digit is 4 binary bits.
xxxx

the "1" bit is simply the right most bit, followed by the 2 4 and 8 bits. all bits on = 15 (F), all bits off = 0 (0)
my initial value was 7 (0111), and i went to 9 (1001), leaving the last bit in the on position.
Edited: 7 to 9 (not 5 to 7 oops)
Yes, that part is obvious. However if you read through the forscan thread, you will find the difference between the two values is how the turn signal turns itself off after a turn. one value will continue to blink until cancelled with the stick. And from the user who reported that, and the...
The vibrate though is more subtle i find. It's similar feeling to driving over rumble strips when approaching a stop sign on the highway. (also keep in mind, it wont buzz you if you have your signal on to change lanes).. it's only when you are lazy and go over the line onto the off-ramp, etc...
Agreed.. I actually find it quite disconcerting when say following the curve of the highway (around large corner), and i feel the steering wheel essentially jerk in my hands.. I usually keep to the outside edge on the curves (farthest away from other lane), and the Expy keeps pushing me back...
finally put the laptop on the vehicle.. there is actually an error code on the BCM:
C1017 - Boot/Trunk primary switch, circuit short to ground
so basically what i was thinking, there is a short somewhere in the wiring. Now it's just the debate of taking the time to take it into a dealer or...
so i've just run into a couple gremlins in the new ride. (about two months old now).
first one, my nav screen locked up (completely unresponsive). radio power button, steering wheel media controls all non functional, map not moving. only thing that was working was the volume up/down (radio...
I originally wanted the bench as well, but we also wanted the Plat Max, and if we wanted the bench was going to be an order and wait for a couple months. On the other hand, there was a beauti Plat Max that we had just test drove with the captains and everything else we specifically wanted...
I can confirm the 2018 also has the protruding axles which prevent the center Caps from fitting on stock F150 rims. That being said, rims still work fine if that doesn't bother you.
Manager at dealership mentioned something about potentially shortening the axle, but I haven't heard back around...
14,12,10 for the kids.. i have the dark interior.. Yup it's dark inside. but the pano sun roof does help to lighten it up. But no way i wanted the white, i could just imagine how fast that would get dirty and show the wear. the dark interior at least will hide a lot of the wear over time, i...
