I agree with you. Just because you can afford it doesn’t justify the purchase. Saying otherwise is a good example of why people with money keep and grow their money and retire early versus living paycheck to pay check. FIRE all the way.
We bought our Navigator on xplan but we ordered ours when the order banks opened in 2017 for the 2018’s. We expected them to not be wheeling and dealing and we were correct. If we were buying now we’d try to deal first.
Buckle up, you’re about to be inundated with tuner suggestions and, if you’re lucky, a couple arguments over which is superior... small displacement forced induction or naturally aspirated larger displacement. Enjoy.
So did you ever report the tow tru k driver? I’ve found myself saying this a few times this week, people suck. What the heck, you’re paying for his services and he feels obligated to steal from you. POS.
A stellar investment is buying a boatload AMZN in the summer of 2010 and holding on to it. The best you can hope for in buying a car is a ‘wow! You got it for how much?!?’ or ‘good choice on a great vehicle’ or something there abouts. It’s a depreciating asset unless it’s old and has a prancing...
You’re about to get all kinds of opinions, including mine.
It depends. Having 4x4 will help your resale but cost more up front. You don’t need it unless you think you’ll ever be off pavement or wet grass or just want the added safety for inclement conditions. If you tow a boat 4low will...
This must be hyperbole, correct? Have you seen what running over hot gum at 45 MPH does to fenders and fender wells? The last time I had to clean up such a mess from my vehicle I swore I would draw and quarter the perpetrator... are you requesting torture? Because throwing gum anywhere other...
Your car wet it’s pants from getting hit... I’ve heard of this happening.
Sucks about the fender bender though, cops and all that or just exchanging insurance?
It’s funny but true, the German makes mentioned in that article do seem to attract asshats. The asshats who can’t afford those can be seen driving some sad ass stanced vehicle. I, for one, am thankful for easily recognizable signs of douchbageryness, makes avoiding these types easy.
So am I the jerk for driving a Navigator or my wife for buying it? Lol I think it takes a certain mentality to earn the cash that the ‘fancy’ cars require. I wonder if this is just a case of superior intellect being misunderstood or envied by the lower level hominids.
The article only mentions...
The wheels are a nice touch, looks great! That looks so boss that if it were mine I would have a pile of boulders dumped in my driveway to park it on as my garage would be far too coddling for something of this baddasseryness.
