    2019 from dealer lot discounts

Around where I live there are way too many 2018's still sitting on the lots at over $10,000 off sticker that aren't moving. Until the 2018's are gone, you won't see any good deals on the 2019's.

18 Expedition - End of year sales?

And the fire sales are kicking in.....$18,400 of sticker. So much for these new Expeditions holding their value.......

BIZARRE intermittent humming/resonance in Platinum Shorty

I would guess its the noise cancellation system. I will never buy a vehicle with noise cancelling in it, as they never work right 100% of the time. And when they go wrong, its not a pleasant experience. Gm and Ram also have issues with their noise cancelling, if you look at their boards...

    CCD makes ride more comfortable?

With CCD, just realize that those shocks won't last forever. When they do need to be replaced, it will not be a cheap fix. Cost of ownership is much much higher if you plan to keep the vehicle more than 50,000 miles.

    8 weeks to order

Not selling well everywhere.....the dealer down the road from where I work has had the same 11 expeditions on his lot for the past 4 months.....they are not moving at all. And that's with them advertising up to $8000 off....

Ford, Are you Listening? 2018+ Change/Wish List

Says the person with no screaming kids in the back seat..... Passenger entertainment (and driver sanity) is highly critical if you have multiple young children that fight, poke, bicker, and just are plain pain in the butts if they don't have entertainment for long trips.....

    2017 used or 2018 new?

ALso note you are comparing a half ton vehicle to a 3/4 ton vehicle.....not an apples to apples comparison. The 3/4 will be geared much differently to be better set up for hauling, which will largely impact MPG's.

    2019 order guide out/production in oct.-impact on 2018 prices

Think again: The price of a new car could jump by between $1,400 and $7,000 for top-selling models, if the Trump administration moves ahead with tariffs on imported automobiles and auto parts, according to the Peterson Institute for International Economics...

    2019 order guide out/production in oct.-impact on 2018 prices

Buy the 18. With Trump's aluminum tariff already kicking in, and soon auto part tariff's, car prices will most likely be going up substantially in 2019.

    Active Noise Control

Wouldn't it be great if you could actually turn active noise control off and on, and actually see the difference? There should be an option to turn it off, as it seems there is an option to turn off and on just about any other feature on these SUV's.

    Ford Reports Record Sales

Creative accounting....? Sales were actually down 22.3 % for the Expedition compared to last April. And that's from Ford's sales numbers they published. https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/2018/05/01/18-apr-sales.pdf

Is the XLT AUDIO SYSTEM ADEQUATE?

I am not impressed with either the base or the B&O stereo. The B&O I listened to in my test Drive had what I would call a tinny sound. The sound is all there, it just feels like it is missing something in the mid range. I played around with the equalizer, but just couldn't get it sounding...

Are you looking for a blue Platinum Max with bench seats and 4wd?

What prices are you seeing? I just browsed and the most expensive Chevy Suburban I could find within 50 miles of where I live was listed at $75,500 before rebates (and thats inclding a set of $2995 22 inch rims) . Which is almost the exact same price as a moderately equiped Expedition Max with...

Are you looking for a blue Platinum Max with bench seats and 4wd?

There is no doubt Ford has these Expeditions a little overpriced. Hard to believe a mid level (Limited) Expedition MAX is more expensive than a fully loaded Yukon XL Denali. The Platinum Max is up in the Cadillac Escalade Price range. Wait a year and I will guarantee Ford will start lowering...

    Rear end harmonic noise

Check the exhaust system....a loose clamp in the wrong spot will cause all sorts of weird noises. Happened to me in a Dodge Dakota pickup I used to own. Catalytic converter clamp was loose, and caused a rattle throughout the exhaust system, which echoed up into the cab.

    A/C Odor

With the engine on, turn the AC fan on high, and then spray Lysol in the air intake. This will kill anything inside the system. Not sure if the Expedition has a cabin air filter or not. If it does, that needs to be removed before spraying Lysol. Put the filter back in when done. This works...

    Ford Reports Record Sales

Its too early to tell about the Expedition reliability, they have only been on the road for at most 4 months. Wait a year to get some real data to do the comparison. There have already been 2 recalls on the new Expeditions, and numerous people on here have reported issues with the new model...

    Ford Reports Record Sales

Its pretty simple.......The entry level XLT is way overpriced for the market. Ford had a year long fire sale on the 2017's, knocking $10,000 to $15,000 of the sticker just to get rid of them. The bargain hunters and budget minded people all bought the 2017, leaving no customers for the...
