400hp on Platinum only with 91 octane gas?

This is like shooting fish in a barrel......you really need to learn how to read a users manual. See the paragraph where it says to use premium with 91 octane or higher. Or better yet read the part about using 87 octane and it causing loss of power and causing engine knock..... From the Yukon...

I don't own one, but my car is better:

For most of the soccer moms that drive the large SUV's, you are probably correct. The GM's are better styled and look better from all angles. Performance numbers and towing capabilities don't matter to them.

400hp on Platinum only with 91 octane gas?

The Denali 6.2 requires premium to to get the full 420 horsepower. It will run on 87 octane, but you won't get anywhere near 420 HP running on 87. https://www.vehiclehistory.com/vehicle-gas-type-specifications/gmc/yukon/2017

    prices?

Wow, there are some people on here who need lessons in negotiation skills....You should be getting at least $5000 or more off sticker Local Ford dealer here is already marking them down $5000-7000, and these have been sitting at this dealer over a month. They are not selling anywhere near full...

    2018 Expedition Reviews

Did anyone else catch this paragraph: The Lincoln’s horizontal taillights add visual width. Unfortunately, its exhaust is hidden from view under the rear bumper on the passenger side, just as it is on the Ford Expedition. This may be a design choice or a cost-cutting measure. Either way, it’s an...

Catch can mod on Ecoboost still necessary on 2018 models

Yes. Keep some spare parts around in case you need to take it off before you go in for service.

Seems like a sure-fired way to void the warranty.

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

The only reason the air dam is on there is for MPG. If you take it off, your going to lose a couple MPG. And yes, If you spend $1000's to lift your truck, then yes, you won't face the same clearance issues the standard factory models face.... not sure what that proves? Look, I am cool too...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

The FX4 package is a joke. At best you might be losing one inch of air dam, and that's only in the center. The ends of the air dam don't change in length, regardless of model. I don't know why they call it a off-road package, its a towing package that includes a somewhat suspicious skid...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

I will say the Chevy Colorado ZR2 figured it out.....Rip all the plastic off the front end....no air dam, no plastic in front of the tires....high ground clearance all around. If they did the same thing to a Tahoe or Suburban, I would be first in line to buy one. But they won't, so you won't...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

You almost got my point......Drive one of these through 4 inches of snow....and you are going to be pushing snow with that front end. Its not just a Ford issue, all the manufacturers put their air dams down so low now that there are very few vehicles that can drive through 4+ inches of snow...

2018+ Post Pictures Thread!- Lets see those shiny new trucks!

In all honesty....its pretty sad that they market this vehicle to the off-roader crowd, but the front air dam is pushing water in what, 3 inches of water? There is no off-road capability for these vehicles, unless you want the first big rock to rip off all the plastic on the front end.

Self Levelling? Platinum with tow package.

Ford dropped the ball not offering the self leveling option. Hell, even Dodge pickups now offer a self leveling option.....pretty sad when Dodge , with their pickups that have not been redesigned in years, have better suspension designs than a brand new Ford.

    Struggling with my Decision!

I would say its the fact that Ford has really jacked up their prices with the '18's, to the point they are no longer affordable to the average buyer. It's interesting to see Ford dealers already offering the new Expeditions $5000 off with dealer discounts and rebates.....in central Iowa the new...

Ford, Are you Listening? 2018+ Change/Wish List

See this: http://gmauthority.com/blog/2018/02/gm-holds-a-comfortable-lead-in-suv-segment-but-ford-turning-up-the-wick-at-its-plant/ It's not GM that's being impacted by the new Expy and Navi...Its the imports. From the article: Despite the Navigator’s early success, internal data from...

Finally Got to Test Drive the 2018 Expedition Limited Short Wheel Base

Or Ford should have an option to have the normal sized sunroof that doesn't affect the second row passenger headroom like the 17's.....

Finally Got to Test Drive the 2018 Expedition Limited Short Wheel Base

They are 6 foot 3 and 6 foot 4...... The seats were all the way back, and their hair was rubbing on the headliner......they had to recline pretty far back before there was no contact with the headliner, and for them they both said it wasn't exactly comfortable leaning that far back. And...

Ford, Are you Listening? 2018+ Change/Wish List

I am 6 foot 6, so I have no need to use the running board as a step to get into the vehicle....so I have never used them for that purpose. My whole family is tall, so no one uses the running board to get into the vehicle..... But a real running board sure does keep the sides of your vehicle...

Finally Got to Test Drive the 2018 Expedition Limited Short Wheel Base

Has anyone else noticed the extra large sunroof ruins the headroom in the second row......I had both my 6 foot tall kids sit in a limited last night, and both of them couldn't sit up straight in the second row seats because their heads hit the ceilings......so if you have tall kids like me....be...

Ford, Are you Listening? 2018+ Change/Wish List

Sun roof - Make it optional on all Models. I have 2 sons over 6 foot tall, and they both hit their head on the ceiling in the 18 Expeditions with sunroofs. Which means I can't buy a Platinum or a Limited, since it seems sunroofs are standard. On the 17 and older, the sunroof only affected...
